Vivo has launched the Y31d Pro in Indonesia, and the new phone puts battery life at the center of its appeal. The device arrives with a 7,000mAh battery, 90W FlashCharge, and a price that starts at about $264 for the base model, based on the official launch prices of Rp4,299,000, Rp4,899,000, and Rp5,499,000.
The phone was introduced in Jakarta on April 13, 2026, as part of vivo’s Y Series lineup. It targets users who need a practical device for long workdays, digital payments, streaming, and other mobile tasks without frequent charging.
Battery remains the main selling point
Vivo still leans heavily on battery capacity in this model, and the strategy is clear. The Y31d Pro uses a 7,000mAh battery that vivo says is among the largest in its class.
The company positions the phone for heavy daily use, from navigation and communication to entertainment. Vivo also says the device can last up to 14 days on standby and up to 72 hours for music playback under certain usage conditions.
To make the battery more useful in real life, vivo adds Super Battery Saver and Battery Extender. The latter is designed to keep basic functions running even when the battery drops below 1 percent.
Fast charging is meant to balance the large battery
A big battery often means long charging times, but vivo tries to reduce that drawback with 90W FlashCharge. The company claims the phone can charge from 1 percent to full in less than an hour.
That detail matters for users who rely on their phones for work and movement throughout the day. The charging system is paired with Bypass Charging 2.0, which routes power directly to the motherboard while the phone is being used and charged, helping reduce heat buildup.
Key features at a glance
- 7,000mAh battery with long standby support
- 90W FlashCharge with sub-hour full charging claim
- Snapdragon 685 chipset built on a 6nm process
- 6.75-inch display with 120Hz refresh rate
- IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance
- 50MP main camera with AI features
- OriginOS 6 with integrated AI tools
This combination shows that vivo wants the Y31d Pro to feel like a utility-first smartphone rather than just a battery phone. The device is aimed at people who want endurance, but also expect speed, durability, and software tools that simplify daily tasks.
Durability gets a stronger role
Vivo has also pushed physical protection as part of the phone’s value proposition. The Y31d Pro carries IP68 and IP69 ratings, which indicate resistance to dust and water under specific test conditions.
The body uses Guardian Glass and has gone through drop and pressure tests, according to the company. That makes the phone more appealing to buyers who work outdoors or use their devices in less controlled environments.
Display and design aim for everyday comfort
The phone features a 6.75-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Vivo also says the panel can reach up to 1,250 nits of brightness through its Sunlight Display technology, which should help visibility under strong outdoor light.
On the design side, the company uses a quad-curved body and a Satin 3D finish. It also adds Dynamic Light, which works as both a notification indicator and a visual accent.
Camera and AI tools focus on efficiency
The Y31d Pro includes a 50MP main camera with AI support. Vivo says the camera is intended for both personal documentation and business use, including product content creation and social media posts.
The phone also brings several AI-based functions. These include AI Magic Move for image editing, AI Captions for automatic video subtitles, and AI Transcript Assist, which turns voice recordings into text summaries.
Available variants and pricing in Indonesia
Vivo sells the Y31d Pro in three memory options in Indonesia. The entry model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at about $264.
The 8GB/128GB version costs about $300, while the top 8GB/256GB model is priced at about $336. During the pre-order period from April 13 to April 16, 2026, vivo also offered discounts, Telkomsel bundles, and additional promotional gifts.
For buyers in the midrange segment, the Y31d Pro stands out because it combines a huge battery, fast charging, durable construction, and AI-powered features in one package. Vivo is clearly betting that many users now want a phone that can last longer, charge faster, and handle daily tasks with less compromise.
