Sony’s INZONE Gamble Turns Bold, 720Hz OLED Monitor Makes Headsets And Mice Fade

Sony has pushed its INZONE gaming line into a new phase with a sharper focus on competitive play, low-latency audio, and high-refresh esports hardware. The latest refresh includes the INZONE H6 Air headset, the INZONE Buds update, the INZONE M10S II OLED monitor, and a Fnatic edition of the INZONE Mouse A.

The move suggests Sony wants INZONE to work as a full ecosystem rather than a single product family. The lineup now stretches across PC, PS5, and mobile use, with each device tuned for long sessions, fast response, and more precise game audio and input.

A headset built for natural sound and long sessions

The INZONE H6 Air is Sony’s newest wired gaming headset, and it arrives with a lightweight 199-gram design. Sony uses an aluminum frame and an open-back structure to create a wider and more natural soundstage.

The headset also borrows from Sony’s studio audio heritage. It uses 40 mm HD drivers inspired by the MDR-MV1 studio headphones, and it comes with a USB-C Audio Box plus EQ presets for RPG and Adventure games tuned by PlayStation sound engineers.

Sony adds 360 Spatial Sound, a detachable cardioid microphone, onboard controls, and broad compatibility with PC, PS5, and mobile devices. The price is set at $199.99, placing it in the premium segment for players who value comfort and more immersive audio over fully enclosed isolation.

INZONE Buds stay focused on latency and comfort

Sony also continues to develop the INZONE Buds for players who prefer true wireless earphones over a full headset. The earbuds were created with input from professional players and use a reduced-contact design intended to stay comfortable during long gaming sessions.

The main features include active noise cancelling, 360 Spatial Sound, and sound personalization through the INZONE Hub. Sony relies on a 2.4 GHz wireless connection to keep latency low, which matters in shooters and other competitive titles where audio timing can affect reaction speed.

Battery performance is another key selling point. Sony says the buds can last up to 12 hours on their own, or 24 hours total with the charging case.

A quick five-minute charge is said to deliver about one hour of playtime, while the built-in microphone uses AI enhancement to improve voice clarity during team communication. The price is listed at $179.99, keeping the Buds below the new headset while still targeting serious players.

The monitor that can reach 720Hz

The biggest attention-grabber in the announcement is the INZONE M10S II, a 27-inch OLED gaming monitor developed with Fnatic. Sony is clearly targeting the esports tier with this model, and the headline feature is its dual display mode.

The monitor can run at 27-inch QHD with a 540Hz refresh rate, or switch to a 24.5-inch HD mode that reaches up to 720Hz. The panel response time is rated at 0.02 ms, which puts it among the fastest gaming displays in the market.

To support that speed, Sony includes advanced heat management, motion blur reduction, a super anti-reflection coating, and a dedicated FPS Pro mode. The monitor also supports G-SYNC, DP 2.1, HDMI 2.1, and a three-year OLED warranty.

For competitive players, the combination of OLED image quality and extreme refresh rates is the main story here. The price is $1,099.99, which shows this is not a mass-market monitor but a specialized product for high-level gaming setups.

A mouse tuned for speed and precision

Sony is also expanding its peripherals with the INZONE Mouse A Fnatic edition. The mouse weighs just 48.4 grams, making it an ultra-light option for fast FPS movement and quick tracking.

Its internal structure uses a polyamide frame reinforced with glass microspheres. Sony pairs that build with the 3950IZ sensor, which supports an 8,000Hz polling rate when used with the included dongle.

The mouse also offers up to 30K DPI, 70G acceleration, and 750 IPS tracking speed. Optical switches are used for faster input response, while the scroll wheel was co-developed with Fnatic to improve tactile precision.

Sony adds a rear button for power control and for switching between four INZONE Hub profiles. The price is listed at $169.99, putting it in the premium lightweight mouse category.

What Sony is building with INZONE

  1. INZONE H6 Air — $199.99
  2. INZONE Buds — $179.99
  3. INZONE M10S II — $1,099.99
  4. INZONE Mouse A Fnatic edition — $169.99

The product mix shows a clear direction. Sony is no longer treating INZONE as a simple headset line, but as a connected gaming ecosystem that covers audio, display, and control.

The Fnatic partnership also helps Sony strengthen its credibility in esports, where product performance is judged quickly and publicly. With 360 Spatial Sound, ANC, FPS Pro mode, and 8,000Hz polling all in the same refresh, Sony is signaling that INZONE is now built to compete on specification as much as on brand name.
