Vivo has expanded its Indonesian portfolio with the Y31D Pro, a midrange phone built around endurance, large battery capacity, and stronger protection against the elements. The device stands out immediately with a 7,000 mAh battery and IP68 and IP69 certification, placing durability at the center of its appeal.
The phone is also positioned with a wide memory lineup and an entry price starting at Rp 4.3 million. Vivo offers three storage variants in Indonesia, with the highest configuration priced at Rp 5.5 million.
Large display with a high refresh rate
The Y31D Pro uses a 6.75-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 1,570 x 720 pixels. Vivo also equips the screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness level of up to 1,250 nits.
Those specifications are aimed at keeping the display comfortable to use in different lighting conditions. The higher brightness level is especially useful for outdoor viewing, where visibility often becomes a more practical concern than resolution alone.
Built with endurance in mind
The phone’s physical design reflects its battery-first direction. The Satin White variant measures 166.64 x 78.43 x 8.49 mm, while the Black Gem version is slightly thinner at 8.39 mm.
At 219 grams, the device is not focused on being the thinnest option in its class. Instead, its polycarbonate back and thicker body suggest a stronger emphasis on function and battery space.
Snapdragon 685 powers the device
Inside, Vivo uses the Snapdragon 685 chipset built on a 6 nm process. The processor features CPU speeds of up to 2.8 GHz and is paired with Adreno 610 graphics.
Memory choices are also relatively flexible for this segment, with 6 GB/128 GB, 6 GB/256 GB, and 8 GB/256 GB options available. That range gives buyers room to choose between basic daily use and a more spacious configuration.
Camera setup and AI features
For imaging, the Y31D Pro carries a 50 MP main camera with an f/2.0 aperture. A 2 MP bokeh camera with an f/2.4 aperture sits beside it, while the front camera uses an 8 MP sensor with an f/2.05 aperture.
Vivo also includes several shooting modes such as Night, Live Photo, and Dual View. According to Vivo’s claim, the IP69 certification also allows underwater video recording, while AI-based tools are added to extend editing and content processing functions.
Some of those features include AI Magic Move for shifting object positions in a photo, AI Erase 2.0 for removing distracting elements, and AI Creation for turning notes into clearer content. These additions are intended to make the phone more useful beyond standard photo capture.
7,000 mAh battery and 90W charging
The clearest highlight remains the battery system. Vivo equips the Y31D Pro with a 7,000 mAh battery and 90W fast charging, which the company says can fully charge the device in 58 minutes.
Vivo also states that the battery can function as a power bank for other devices. Another supported feature is bypass charging, which directs power straight to the device instead of passing through the battery in certain conditions.
The company further claims the battery is designed to maintain performance for up to six years without significant decline. On the software side, the phone runs Android 16 with the OriginOS 6 interface.
Connectivity, security, and pricing
For everyday use, the Y31D Pro supports dual nano SIM cards and 2G, 3G, and 4G networks. It also includes WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, USB-C, and OTG connectivity.
Fingerprint security is placed on the side of the body and integrated with the power button. The phone comes in two colors, Satin White and Black Gem, and is already available for order through Vivo’s official website and partner marketplaces in Indonesia.
The pricing in Indonesia is set as follows:
- Vivo Y31D Pro 6 GB/128 GB: Rp 4.3 million
- Vivo Y31D Pro 6 GB/256 GB: Rp 4.9 million
- Vivo Y31D Pro 8 GB/256 GB: Rp 5.5 million
With its 120 Hz display, 7,000 mAh battery, 90W charging, and IP68/IP69 protection, the Vivo Y31D Pro is aimed at users who value durability and long daily use. Its memory options and feature set place it as a practical midrange choice for buyers looking for a device that can handle more demanding routines.
