Motorola’s next foldable lineup is becoming easier to read, and the latest leak suggests the company is drawing a sharper line between two clamshell models. Razr 70 and Razr+ 2026 are said to target different buyers, with one focused on balance and the other positioned as the more advanced option.
The new details, reportedly shared by Billbil-kun through Dealabs, cover chipsets, displays, batteries, connectivity, and pricing. If the information is accurate, Motorola is not simply refreshing its foldables; it is separating them into clearer tiers for different markets and usage needs.
A more distinct two-model strategy
Razr 70 is said to be the broader-market model, and in some regions it may also appear as Razr 2026. Razr+ 2026, meanwhile, is reportedly aimed more directly at the US market, which shows that Motorola may not use the same launch approach for both devices.
That difference in positioning matters because the Razr Fold is already available in Europe, while the other two Razr 2026 models are still waiting for their turn. The leak therefore offers an early look at how Motorola may reshape its clamshell portfolio.
Razr 70 leans on efficiency and balance
For Razr 70, the reported hardware starts with a MediaTek Dimensity 7450X chipset running at a peak clock of 2.60GHz. That choice points to a phone built for dependable everyday use rather than top-tier performance.
Memory and storage are also said to be modern, with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The combination should help keep the system responsive, even if the storage standard sits below the fastest class available.
Battery capacity is listed at 4,800mAh, which suggests Motorola is paying attention to endurance on a form factor where battery size often becomes a tradeoff. The display is said to be a 6.9-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The camera setup is also fairly straightforward on paper. The leak points to two 50MP rear cameras, one main sensor and one ultra-wide, along with a 32MP front camera.
Razr+ 2026 pushes the premium side higher
Razr+ 2026 appears to keep the general formula of its predecessor, but it adds stronger hardware in the areas that matter most for a premium foldable. The biggest upgrade is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which is reported to run at a peak clock of 3GHz.
It also keeps LPDDR5X RAM but steps up to UFS 4.0 storage. Compared with Razr 70, that gives the higher-end model a faster storage foundation and matches its more premium role.
The internal display remains 6.9 inches, but the refresh rate rises to 165Hz. That change should make scrolling and animations feel smoother, and it helps distinguish the Plus model more clearly from the standard Razr 70.
Battery capacity is listed at 4,500mAh, and Motorola is said to include 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Those additions make the phone sound more complete as an upper-tier option, even with a slightly smaller battery than Razr 70.
Shared features keep the family consistent
Despite the split in positioning, both models are reportedly built around the same core set of modern connectivity and durability features. Each phone is said to include USB-C, Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth, NFC, eSIM, and a physical SIM slot.
They are also both listed with an IP48 rating, which adds a baseline level of protection. On the software side, Razr 70 and Razr+ 2026 are said to launch with Android 16.
Dimensions are reported to be around 73.99 x 88 mm when folded, with slight differences when fully opened. The weight is said to fall between 188 and 189 grams, keeping both devices in the familiar range for compact foldables.
Pricing reinforces the gap
The leaked pricing makes the product split even clearer. In the US, Razr 2026 is expected to start at $799.99, while Razr+ 2026 is said to begin at $1099.99.
The same leak also mentions a Razr Ultra 2026 at $1499.99 and Razr Fold 2026 at $1899.99. Taken together, the lineup suggests Motorola is building a more layered foldable family, from the more accessible model to the highest-end tier.
