Xiaomi Unveils Redmi Book 2026 With Core Ultra 5, Productivity Laptop Starts at 5,499 Yuan

Xiaomi has expanded its laptop lineup with the Redmi Book 2026, a new productivity-focused machine that comes in 14-inch and 16-inch versions. The series is positioned for everyday work and leans on Intel Core Ultra 5 125H for a mix of speed and efficiency.

The new model also reflects Xiaomi’s push to make its mainstream laptops more connected across devices. Alongside modern hardware, it includes ecosystem features designed to smooth out work between a laptop and other Xiaomi products.

Performance built around Core Ultra 5 125H

At the center of the Redmi Book 2026 is Intel Core Ultra 5 125H based on the Meteor Lake architecture. The chip carries 14 cores and 18 threads, and Xiaomi says the laptop can operate with power output reaching 60W.

To keep thermals under control during heavier workloads, Xiaomi uses a cooling setup with two fans and two heat pipes. This design is meant to help the system stay stable while handling productivity tasks, multitasking, and other daily workloads.

Memory and storage aimed at multitasking

Xiaomi equips the Redmi Book 2026 with LPDDR5X RAM of up to 32GB. That amount of memory gives users more headroom when running several apps at once or switching between work tasks.

Storage also looks generous for a mainstream laptop. The device uses a PCIe 4.0 SSD of up to 1TB, and Xiaomi still includes an expansion slot for those who need additional capacity later on.

Two display sizes, two different profiles

The Redmi Book 14 version features a 14-inch panel with 2.8K resolution and up to 500 nits of brightness. The larger Redmi Book 16 uses a 16-inch display with 2.5K resolution and a maximum brightness of 400 nits.

Both models support a 120Hz refresh rate. That gives the screens a smoother feel for scrolling, content viewing, and regular work use.

Battery and charging for daily mobility

For users who need longer unplugged use, Xiaomi fits the Redmi Book 2026 with an 80Wh battery. The capacity is intended to support mobile productivity and keep the laptop active for extended periods.

The package also includes a 100W USB-C GaN fast-charging adapter. Xiaomi says the adapter is not limited to the laptop alone, as it can also be used to charge a smartphone, which adds convenience when traveling.

HyperConnect adds cross-device convenience

One of the more notable software-side features is HyperConnect. Xiaomi says this technology helps activities move more smoothly across devices within its ecosystem.

It supports functions such as camera sharing, document transfer, and integrated device control. For users already invested in Xiaomi hardware, this kind of connection can become a practical part of the daily workflow.

Pricing positions the lineup in the mainstream segment

The Redmi Book 2026 is being sold as a modern productivity laptop rather than a premium flagship. The 14-inch model with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage starts at 5,499 yuan, while the 16-inch version with 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage reaches 6,699 yuan.

Xiaomi is also offering a 500 yuan discount through 23 April 2026. With that price positioning, the Redmi Book 2026 enters the market as a practical option for users who want current-generation hardware, large battery capacity, and tighter integration with Xiaomi’s device ecosystem.
