Nubia has brought the RedMagic 11S Pro to Indonesia as a new flagship gaming phone aimed at users who want high performance, stronger cooling, and long battery life. The device arrives as a refined version of the RedMagic 11 Pro, with the most notable changes centered on thermal management, processor speed, and AI-powered software features.
For mobile gamers, the appeal goes beyond raw specifications. Nubia keeps the flat-back design that RedMagic users know well, making the phone easier to hold in landscape orientation during long sessions.
Cooling takes the biggest step forward
The most visible upgrade is the cooling system. Nubia still uses the AquaCore Cooling System, but this latest version is said to reduce peak device temperature by up to 6 percent.
The rear panel also adopts a more minimal transparent design that shows the coolant flow. Nubia keeps the camera module flush with the body, which helps the phone feel more comfortable when gaming for extended periods.
| Key Difference | RedMagic 11S Pro | RedMagic 11 Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Processor speed | Up to 4.74 GHz | Lower clock speed |
| Cooling | Updated AquaCore Cooling System | Previous cooling setup |
| Software | RedMagic OS 11.5 with AI features | Earlier software version |
| Back design | Transparent coolant view | Metal finish, not fully transparent |
Performance stays familiar, but faster
RedMagic 11S Pro still relies on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the same chipset used in the RedMagic 11 Pro. Nubia has pushed the processor clock speed to 4.74 GHz to deliver higher performance in demanding gaming scenarios.
That chipset is paired with the RedCore R4, a companion chip designed to optimize gaming performance, visuals, audio, and vibration response. The combination is meant to keep gameplay stable even under heavy load.
Built for long gaming sessions
On the display side, the phone carries a 6.85-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2,688 x 1,216 pixels. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate, a 3,000Hz instant touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits.
Battery capacity is another major selling point. The RedMagic 11S Pro comes with a 7,500 mAh battery and supports 80W fast charging, wireless charging, and dual reverse charging.
Nubia also includes Charge Separation, a feature that sends power directly to the system while the device is being used and charged at the same time. The goal is to help keep battery temperatures lower during long play sessions.
Cameras remain practical for everyday use
Although the RedMagic 11S Pro is positioned as a gaming device, it still offers a fairly complete camera setup. The rear system includes a 50 MP main camera with OIS and a 50 MP ultrawide camera.
For selfies and video calls, Nubia adds a 16 MP front camera. This makes the phone more versatile outside gaming, even if performance remains the main focus.
AI features arrive with RedMagic OS 11.5
The device runs RedMagic OS 11.5, which introduces several AI-based functions. Nubia highlights Circle to Search, real-time translation, call subtitles, and Google Gemini integration among the new tools.
These additions expand the phone’s role beyond gaming and make it more useful for communication and productivity tasks.
Price and Indonesia positioning
In Indonesia, the RedMagic 11S Pro is sold in a single configuration with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The official price is Rp18.999.000.
Nubia says the Indonesian market has shown strong interest in the RedMagic lineup. ZTE Device Indonesia Country Manager Zhuang Yongke previously noted that the performance of the RedMagic 11 Pro became an important base for expanding the gaming phone market in the country, especially after its pre-orders rose by 628 percent.
