Honor has expanded its entry-to-midrange tablet lineup in Indonesia with the arrival of the Pad X8b, a device positioned for learning, entertainment, and everyday family use. The tablet combines a slim profile, a large battery, and child-focused safeguards, making it a practical option for users who want one device for several needs.
The Indonesian launch puts emphasis on durability as much as convenience. Honor describes the Pad X8b as a lightweight tablet that remains suitable for long hours of use at home or on the move, while also offering protection features meant to support shared use across different family members.
Slim body, stronger build
The Honor Pad X8b measures 7.25 mm in thickness and weighs around 499 grams. Despite its minimalist appearance, the tablet uses a premium metal body and a newer embedding material technology that is claimed to improve structural strength by up to 90%.
Honor also says the device has been verified by SGS Switzerland. The certification covers Drop Resistance and Crush Resistance, and Honor presents the Pad X8b as the first tablet in its category to receive that recognition. According to the company, drop resistance has been improved by 60%, while water resistance has risen by 30%.
