Vivo is positioning the X300 Ultra as more than a standard flagship, with a clear focus on creators who need stronger tools for video, zoom, and fast file handling. The device was shown at Vivo Imagine Labs in New Delhi ahead of its India launch, giving creators, company partners, and industry members a hands-on look at what the camera system can do.
The presentation makes it clear that Vivo wants the X300 Ultra to appeal to users who treat a phone as part of a production setup. Instead of centering the device only on premium design or general everyday use, the company is highlighting features that matter in photo and video workflows, including advanced recording modes, optical accessories, and faster connectivity.
Built for more demanding video work
One of the key attractions is the new Pro Video Mode, which supports up to 4K/120 fps recording with 10-bit Log. That combination is especially relevant for creators because it leaves more room for color grading and post-production adjustments after shooting.
Vivo has also added a “Multi-Focal 4K Master Color Video with Dolby Vision” mode. The inclusion of Dolby Vision suggests that the company is emphasizing not just sharp footage, but also richer color and broader dynamic range for content that needs a more polished finish.
Zoom reaches a new level with external support
The X300 Ultra’s long-range imaging setup is another major talking point. Vivo is pairing the phone with the Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra, developed in collaboration with Zeiss, to extend its reach for telephoto shooting.
The external accessory comes with a 400mm equivalent focal length, 4.7x magnification, a 1GM 14G lens arrangement, CIPA 4.5, and Kepler Optical Structure. Vivo says the extender will be sold separately or offered in a bundle with the phone, and its weight is around 248 grams.
With the extender attached, the phone can extend its telephoto capability to a focal length of 1,600mm, turning the X300 Ultra into a far more aggressive zoom device than most smartphones on the market.
Motion tracking and transfer speeds matter too
Beyond the headline camera numbers, Vivo is also stressing workflow efficiency. The X300 Ultra includes autofocus snapshot tracking at 60 fps, a feature aimed at helping the camera keep pace with moving subjects.
That kind of tracking is useful in situations such as action shooting, sports, wildlife, and travel content, where maintaining focus can be just as important as image quality. Vivo is also including a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, which should help creators move large files more quickly after recording high-resolution clips.
Hardware details and launch plans
On the rear, Vivo has confirmed a 200-megapixel main camera. Under the hood, the phone uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 octa-core 3nm chipset, placing it in the top tier of current flagship hardware.
Vivo will launch the X300 Ultra in India on 6 May at 12 pm IST, with sales set to begin through Flipkart. The phone will be available in Eclipse Black and Victory Green, and it will arrive alongside the Vivo X300 FE.
Both models are also confirmed to support telephoto converter kits branded by Vivo and Zeiss, adding another layer to their zoom-oriented strategy. With 4K/120 fps recording, 10-bit Log, Dolby Vision support, a 200-megapixel main camera, and the available telephoto extender, the X300 Ultra is being framed as a flagship that aims squarely at serious visual creators.
