Infinix has expanded its GT lineup with the GT 50 Pro, a handset built to appeal directly to mobile gamers who want more than raw speed. The phone pairs a high-refresh AMOLED display, a large battery, cooling hardware, and dedicated shoulder triggers in a package that is meant to support long, demanding play sessions.
The gaming focus is obvious from the first look at its hardware choices. Infinix positions the GT 50 Pro with MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset, up to 12GB of RAM, and storage as high as 512GB, while also adding a 6,500mAh battery and 45W wired fast charging for extended use.
Shoulder controls designed for faster input
One of the most distinctive features on the GT 50 Pro is the Open-Cut Pressure-Sense GT Trigger. Infinix says each shoulder trigger supports up to four mapping points, which gives users more flexibility when assigning in-game actions or other shortcuts.
The trigger system also offers 10 pressure levels and is said to deliver 20ms latency. Infinix claims the mechanism is built to withstand more than 3 million presses, which suggests the company is aiming for long-term durability as well as responsiveness.
The trigger function is not limited to gaming. It can also be used to launch apps, control video playback, and adjust the device’s lighting effects, making it a more versatile hardware control than a single-purpose gaming button.
Cooling hardware built for sustained performance
To help the phone handle heavy workloads, Infinix uses its HydroFlow Liquid Cooling Architecture. The system combines liquid cooling with a micro-pump and a 6,437 mm² diaphragm area, with the goal of improving heat dissipation and thermal conduction.
That approach matters because gaming phones often have to deal with rising temperatures during long sessions. Infinix also includes its in-house N1 network management chip, which is intended to keep connectivity stable during online play and other tasks that depend on a consistent signal.
A large AMOLED panel with high-speed touch response
On the front, the GT 50 Pro carries a 6.78-inch LTPS AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, or 1,208 x 2,644 pixels. Infinix claims a screen-to-body ratio of 93.18 percent, giving the device a relatively expansive look for games and media viewing.
The panel supports a refresh rate from 30Hz to 144Hz, along with a touch sampling rate of up to 330Hz and an instant touch sampling rate of 2800Hz. Infinix also says peak brightness reaches 4,500 nits, while DCI-P3 coverage is rated at 100 percent.
For added protection, the screen comes with TÜV Low Blue Light certification and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The phone also carries an IP64 rating and includes an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
Android 16, strong memory options, and a focused camera setup
The GT 50 Pro runs Android 16 with XOS 16 on top. Its core performance package includes a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate processor paired with a Mali-G720 MC7 GPU, alongside LPDDR5x 12GB RAM and UFS 4.1 storage of up to 512GB.
That configuration places the phone in a strong position for multitasking, heavy apps, and gaming workloads. The camera setup is more restrained, with a 50-megapixel main camera featuring an f/1.59 aperture and OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 13-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.
Battery flexibility goes beyond fast charging
Battery life is another major part of the GT 50 Pro’s pitch, thanks to its 6,500mAh capacity. Infinix pairs that with 45W wired charging, but the phone also supports 10W reverse wired charging, up to 30W wireless charging, and 5W wireless reverse charging.
When used with the GT MagCharge Cooler 2.0, the device supports wireless bypass charging as well, which is aimed at keeping heat more controlled during charging and use. That combination makes the GT 50 Pro more adaptable for users who want to keep gaming while managing thermal load.
Connectivity and physical details
In terms of connectivity, the phone includes Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, OTG, FM radio, and USB Type-C. Infinix also adds an infrared blaster, an X-axis linear motor, a gyroscope, an e-compass, a light sensor, and a G-sensor.
The device weighs 198 grams and measures 162.44 x 77.23 x 8.15 mm. In Indonesia, the GT 50 Pro is listed starting at IDR 69,98,000 for the 12GB + 256GB version, while the 12GB + 512GB variant is priced at IDR 74,99,000, with Black Abyss, Red Blaze, and Silver Glacier as the available color options.
