Honor has expanded its 600 series to the global market, choosing Malaysia as the first launch destination. The lineup brings two models, the Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro, and both immediately draw attention because of a rear design that many will compare with the iPhone 17 Pro.
The most visible cue is the large horizontal camera module placed across the back panel. Even so, Honor still gives the phones a distinct identity through the body silhouette and bold color options, including a vivid orange finish that stands out far more than the neutral choices.
A design that aims to stand out
In a crowded upper-midrange segment, Honor appears to be pushing a stronger visual statement rather than playing it safe. The Black and Golden White versions use a matte finish that gives the phones a calmer look, while the orange variant is clearly aimed at users who want something more eye-catching.
That prominent camera placement also makes the series easy to recognize from a distance. At the same time, it explains why the phones are quickly being discussed alongside other flagship-style designs that are getting a lot of attention.
AMOLED display with a focus on smoothness and eye comfort
Both models come with a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution. Honor also equips the panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, which should help deliver smoother motion for everyday scrolling and gaming.
The display further includes 3,840Hz PWM dimming and hardware-level eye-care features. Honor says the panel can reach a peak brightness of up to 8,000 nits for HDR content, a specification that positions the phone for brighter and more contrast-rich viewing.
Different chipsets for different performance needs
Honor separates the regular and Pro versions with different processors. The Honor 600 runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, a chipset intended to balance efficiency with an upgrade in performance over previous generations.
The Honor 600 Pro, meanwhile, uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite built on a 3nm process. This model is clearly positioned for heavier gaming and more demanding multitasking, making it the stronger option in the series for users who want more processing headroom.
To keep performance stable, Honor also includes a large vapor chamber and graphite layers. This setup is designed to help manage heat during longer and more intensive use.
Camera hardware is one of the main selling points
On the back, Honor places a 200 MP main camera as one of the key attractions. The sensor is supported by pixel binning and the Night Engine feature, both of which are intended to improve photo output in low-light conditions.
The Honor 600 Pro adds a 50 MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom. Its digital zoom is said to go up to 120x, giving the Pro model a wider range for distant subjects. Both phones also carry a 50 MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
Honor also adds AI-based functions, including AI Image to Video 2.0. The feature can turn a photo into a short video through text prompts or templates.
Large battery capacity and premium pricing
Battery life is supported by up to a 7,000 mAh battery using silicon-carbon technology. Honor pairs it with 80W wired fast charging and reverse charging, so the phone can also share power with other devices when needed.
The Pro version goes further with 50W wireless charging and an IP69K rating. That certification points to stronger protection against dust and water under extreme conditions, reinforcing the more rugged positioning of the higher-end model.
The series runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. In Malaysia, pricing starts at MYR 2,599 for the Honor 600, while the Honor 600 Pro starts at MYR 3,099 and reaches MYR 3,299 for the highest-memory variant.
