Huawei Mate 80 Pro Debuts With Natural-Tone Cameras and a Rp16.999.000 First-Sale Price

Huawei Mate 80 Pro has entered its first sale in Indonesia, and the opening price is drawing immediate attention. The device is offered at Rp16.999.000 during the first-sale period, while Huawei says the total benefits attached to the launch window can reach Rp7.5 million.

The flagship is positioned for users who want a premium phone centered on camera performance, stronger body protection, and smart features for daily use. That combination makes the Mate 80 Pro relevant for professionals who want one device for work, photography, and demanding routines.

Natural color is the main camera pitch

Huawei places the camera system at the center of the Mate 80 Pro’s appeal with True-to-Colour Camera 2.0. The feature is designed to deliver more accurate and natural-looking colors, which is a major differentiator in a flagship market that often pushes more aggressive visual effects.

The rear setup includes a 50MP Ultra Lighting Camera with a variable F1.4–F4.0 aperture and OIS. It is paired with a 48MP Ultra-Lighting Telephoto Macro Camera and a 40MP Ultra-Wide Camera, giving the phone a flexible shooting range for close-up subjects, distant scenes, and wide-angle shots.

Huawei also emphasizes that the system is built to keep photos sharp, stable, and bright in low light. The brand’s focus on a more natural color character is meant to appeal to users who want realism rather than heavily processed results.

Built for tougher everyday use

Beyond imaging, the Mate 80 Pro also aims to stand out in durability. Huawei uses 2nd Gen Kunlun Glass, which it claims is up to 20 times stronger than regular glass.

The phone also carries IP68 and IP69 certification, adding protection against water, dust, and even high-pressure sprays. That level of resistance makes the device a more practical option for people with active routines or frequent outdoor mobility.

Even with the stronger build, Huawei keeps the design premium. The Mate 80 Pro comes with a 6.75-inch narrow-bezel display, a modern flat-edged form, and color options in Gold, Green, and Black.

Battery life and AI features support daily productivity

Powering the device is a 5,750mAh battery, backed by 100W Wired SuperCharge and 80W Wireless SuperCharge. The large capacity is meant to support long usage across the day, while the fast-charging options reduce downtime when the battery needs to be refilled.

Huawei also includes several AI functions to improve convenience and productivity. The available features include AI Composition, AI Best Expression, AI Remove, AI Gesture, and AI Messaging, all integrated through AI Smart Control.

That software layer shows Huawei is not relying only on hardware specifications. The company is also framing the phone as a tool for smoother daily interaction and more efficient use.

Launch offers and availability

The first-sale period runs from 24 April to 24 May 2026, with the special price set at Rp16.999.000. Huawei is also pairing the launch with a set of additional benefits, including bank cashback of up to Rp3 million and trade-in cashback of up to Rp2 million.

Other purchase incentives include 0% installments, 0% down payment, and a bonus of two free installment cycles through Indodana PayLater. In addition, Huawei is offering Premium Service support that includes one free battery replacement within up to five years, one year of accidental warranty, and screen protector replacement up to four times within two years.

The Mate 80 Pro is available through Huawei Store, e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Tokopedia, Lazada, and Blibli, as well as offline retail channels including Erafone, Urban Republic, and Huawei Experience Store. With its camera focus, tougher build, large battery, and AI features, the Huawei Mate 80 Pro enters the premium segment with a launch package designed to attract close attention.
