A Xiaomi handset believed to be the Xiaomi 17T has surfaced in Geekbench AI, giving the clearest early look yet at its hardware direction. The listing points to a MediaTek Dimensity 8500, 12GB of RAM, and Android 16, while also suggesting that the device is moving closer to launch.
The benchmark entry uses the model number 2602DPT53G, which has already been linked to Xiaomi 17T in earlier certification documents. That connection makes the new appearance more meaningful, especially because benchmark databases often reveal devices that are near the final stages of preparation.
Dimensity 8500 appears to be the likely chip
The Geekbench AI results show a processor setup with one prime core running at 3.40GHz, three performance cores at 3.20GHz, and four efficiency cores at 2.20GHz. The graphics side is listed with a Mali-G720 MC8 GPU.
Those specifications align closely with MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500, which tipster Abhishek Yadav also identified as the global chip choice for the Xiaomi 17T. If that detail holds true, the phone would sit in the sub-flagship category, where Xiaomi’s T series often focuses on strong performance without entering the top flagship tier.
The positioning also matches the broader appeal of the Dimensity 8500 platform. The same chip has reportedly been associated with other devices such as the Oppo K15 Pro, iQOO Z11 5G, and Motorola Edge 70 Pro, reinforcing its role in performance-led phones.
RAM and software details are beginning to take shape
Geekbench AI lists the device with 11.09GB of memory, which would normally translate to 12GB in retail marketing. That amount suggests Xiaomi is preparing the 17T with enough headroom for multitasking, heavier apps, and AI-related workloads.
The software side is equally notable. The handset is shown running Android 16, and the same reference suggests it may be paired with HyperOS 3, although that remains unconfirmed. Even so, the combination supports the idea that Xiaomi is aiming for a modern software stack built around current AI features and system efficiency.
Benchmark scores offer an early performance snapshot

These numbers should not be treated as final retail performance, but they still help outline the device’s current development stage. In practical terms, they suggest Xiaomi is already testing the phone’s AI processing path rather than just basic hardware recognition.
The 17T series is building momentum through certification trails
The Xiaomi 17T is not the only model from the series to appear on the radar. Xiaomi is also believed to be working on the Xiaomi 17T Pro, even though technical details for that model have not been revealed in the available reference.
The series has already been seen on platforms such as IMDA and NBTC, which typically indicates that a device has entered the formal certification process. Combined with the Geekbench AI entry, those appearances make the Xiaomi 17T family look increasingly close to official unveiling.
Earlier reports had also pointed to a possible launch window in India around late April or early May, although Xiaomi has not confirmed any market plans or timing.
