Vivo’s Y600 Pro is built around an unusual proposition for a mid-range phone: extreme battery life without the bulk that usually comes with it. The device carries a 10,200mAh Si-C battery, a figure that places it far above the typical capacity class and gives it an immediate point of distinction in the Y Pro lineup.
Even with that oversized cell, vivo has kept the body at 8.25 mm thick, avoiding the heavy, rugged look often associated with long-lasting phones. The result is a handset that aims to blend endurance, practicality, and a slimmer profile in a package that still looks and feels closer to a regular smartphone.
A large battery, but not a bulky chassis
Vivo says the Y600 Pro uses a 38Wh battery with fourth-generation silicon anode technology. The company also claims the silicon content reaches 15 percent, while energy density stands at 886Wh/L, which helps explain how the phone can stretch capacity so far without an equally dramatic rise in size.
The jump is significant when placed next to earlier models in the same family. The Y400 Pro offered 5,500mAh, the Y500 Pro moved to 7,000mAh, and the Y600 Pro makes a much bigger leap to 10,200mAh. Vivo says the battery cell is 45 percent larger than before, while the thickness has increased by only 0.4 mm, or about 5 percent.
Endurance is the main selling point
That battery size is backed by detailed usage claims from vivo. The company says the Y600 Pro can last more than 24 hours in general use, and it lists up to 47 hours of calls, 28 hours of video playback, or 16 hours of navigation.
Vivo is also emphasizing long-term durability for the battery itself. According to the company, it should retain 80 percent of its capacity after six years of regular use, or around 1,600 charging cycles. For recharging, the phone supports 90W fast charging, and it also includes reverse wired charging so it can act as a power source for other devices when needed.
Protection and display round out the hardware
The Y600 Pro is not positioned only as a battery-focused device. It also carries IP68 and IP69 certification, which adds resistance against dust and water exposure under certain conditions and reinforces its durable positioning.
On the front, vivo has fitted a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is designed to support smoother scrolling and responsive daily use, while a 32MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. An optical fingerprint sensor is included for biometric security.
New chipset and current software
The phone is the first to launch with MediaTek Dimensity 7300e. Vivo says the chip is nearly identical to the Dimensity 7300 and 7300X, but it uses a slightly lower Arm Mali-G610 MC2 GPU while improving power efficiency.
That emphasis on efficiency fits the broader direction of the device, which is centered on long runtime and battery conservation. The Y600 Pro runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, keeping it aligned with vivo’s latest software design and ecosystem.
Cameras, colors, and pricing
Around the back, the phone features a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS. A second module is also present, but vivo uses it as an IR blaster rather than as an additional camera.
The Y600 Pro is available in black, blue, gold, and purple. Pricing starts at CNY 1,999 for the 8GB/128GB version, while the top configuration with 12GB/512GB is priced at CNY 2,899, with orders already open through vivo’s official online store in China and deliveries set to begin on April 30.
