Realme’s 16 series in India may not be finished yet. After the launch of the Realme 16 5G, fresh leaks suggest that another model, the Realme 16x 5G, is being prepared to slot below the Pro tier.

The new device is said to target the mid-range 5G segment, with early signs pointing to a broader lineup than previously expected. If the report proves accurate, the Realme 16x 5G would become the fourth member of the Realme 16 family, joining the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G, Realme 16 Pro 5G, and Realme 16 5G.

What the leak says about the model

The first clue came from tipster Abhishek Yadav, who shared the information on X. He claimed the phone will launch in India under the model number RMX5270, which usually indicates that a device has moved further along in the development cycle.

No launch date has surfaced yet, but the appearance of a model number often suggests that an official reveal may not be too far away. At this stage, however, Realme has not confirmed any public details about the handset.

Colors and storage options reportedly in testing

The leak also points to two color options for the Realme 16x 5G. Those finishes are said to be Endurance Brown and Glory White.

Storage and memory combinations have also surfaced. According to the report, the phone may arrive in three variants: 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 6GB + 256GB.

That configuration suggests Realme is preparing multiple choices for buyers with different storage needs. It also places the device in a position that appears focused on affordability and practical everyday use.

Where the Realme 16x 5G could fit in the lineup

The Realme 16x 5G is expected to sit below the Pro models and give the company a lower-priced 5G option in the same family. That positioning would help Realme widen the reach of the Realme 16 series in India.

The move also fits the company’s current push in the segment, especially after the introduction of the Realme 16 5G. That model arrived with a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset and a slim, lightweight design.

Why the Realme 15x 5G matters here

The upcoming phone is also being described as the successor to the Realme 15x 5G. That earlier model offers a useful reference point for what Realme may be aiming for next.

The Realme 15x 5G launched from Rs. 16,999 for the base 6GB + 128GB version. It features a 6.8-inch HD+ display with a 720×1,570-pixel resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, 256 ppi density, and peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits.

Inside, the phone uses a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset with an octa-core CPU reaching 2.4GHz, paired with an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It also comes with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

Specs of the predecessor offer a possible direction

The Realme 15x 5G also includes a dual rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel main sensor. Power comes from a 7,000mAh battery, and the phone supports 60W wired fast charging.

Those details do not confirm the Realme 16x 5G’s final hardware, but they do outline the kind of market space Realme may be trying to hold with its next model. The company has not shared official specifications yet, so the leak remains the only guide for now.

What is already clear is that the Realme 16 series may still have room to expand. If the reported RMX5270 device turns out to be real, the lineup would grow further and strengthen Realme’s 5G offering in India.
