DJI Mic Mini 2 arrives as a compact wireless microphone aimed at creators who need cleaner audio without adding bulk to their setup. The device keeps the lightweight format that made the series practical, while adding longer battery life and more control over recording quality.
Its small size remains one of the strongest reasons to consider it. The transmitter weighs around 11 grams, while the receiver comes in at about 17.8 grams, making the system easy to carry and simple to use in the field.
Audio control gets more attention
DJI positions Mic Mini 2 not just as a tiny accessory, but as a more capable recording tool for everyday content work. It records in 48kHz audio at 24-bit with an omnidirectional pattern, which helps capture sound from multiple directions with more detail.
To keep recordings safe, the microphone includes automatic limiting so sudden peaks do not easily distort the sound. There is also five-level gain control, giving users more flexibility when moving between quiet rooms and louder environments.
Dual-track recording is another notable addition. This feature records two audio paths at once, including a backup track at lower volume, which can help reduce the risk of losing usable audio if the main signal clips.
Settings can be adjusted through DJI Mimo
Most of the device’s main controls are handled through the DJI Mimo app. Inside the app, users can choose from three voice presets: Regular, Rich, and Bright, depending on the tone they want for a recording.
The same app also provides two levels of noise cancellation for indoor and outdoor use. DJI Mic Mini 2 covers a frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz, and low cut mode can help reduce low-frequency noise such as wind or vibration.
According to the specifications, the microphone can handle sound pressure up to 120dB and has a noise floor of 24dBA. That makes it more suitable for demanding situations such as crowded streets or high-volume events.
Connectivity expands its practical use
DJI also gives the microphone wider compatibility within its ecosystem. Mic Mini 2 supports OsmoAudio Direct Connection, allowing up to two transmitters to connect directly to DJI devices such as Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano, and Osmo Action 6 without needing a separate receiver.
For wireless transmission, the device supports Bluetooth 5.3 and 2.4 GHz connectivity with a claimed range of up to 400 meters under ideal conditions. That level of flexibility is useful for creators who often move around while filming.
Battery life is built for longer sessions
Battery performance is another area where DJI has made the system more practical. The transmitter uses a 114 mAh battery and is claimed to last up to 11.5 hours, while the receiver carries a 170 mAh battery rated for around 10.5 hours of use.
Charging is also relatively quick, with a full charge taking about 100 minutes. DJI says a five-minute charge can provide up to one hour of use, and the charging case can extend total battery life to as much as 48 hours.
Package options and pricing
DJI offers several purchasing combinations, ranging from a single transmitter to a full bundle with two transmitters, a receiver, and a charging case. The following European prices were reported by KompasTekno from Gizmo China and NotebookCheck:
- 1 Transmitter (TX): 35 euro

With its compact body, safer audio handling, and longer endurance, DJI Mic Mini 2 is shaped for creators who want a wireless microphone that stays small but feels more complete in daily use.
