The new interface is said to align more closely with Google’s modern design direction across its apps. One of the most visible changes is a colored glow effect that provides visual feedback while the user interacts with Gemini.
That glow is expected to react to voice and user actions. In practice, this means Gemini on a smartwatch would no longer rely on a static interface alone, but could show moving color animations while someone is speaking to it.
A cleaner look on a small screen
The reported refresh also includes neater weather cards and updated iconography. Those changes sound modest, but on a smartwatch display they can make the experience easier to read at a glance.
