Infinix is taking a more ambitious route with the GT 50 Pro in Indonesia. Instead of treating cooling as a secondary detail, the company has placed liquid cooling at the center of its gaming pitch, bringing a micro-pump-based system into a mid-range phone priced in the Rp6 million range.
That choice matters because sustained gaming performance often drops when heat builds up over time. Infinix is positioning the GT 50 Pro as a device that does more than post strong spec-sheet numbers at launch, with a focus on keeping frame rates steady during long play sessions.
Liquid cooling as the main selling point
The GT 50 Pro uses HydroFlow Liquid Cooling Architecture, which actively moves cooling liquid across the chipset area. Infinix says the system covers 100% of the device’s main heat sources, using a large micro-pump and micron-level high-precision channels.
The goal is to distribute cooling more evenly and reduce the risk of throttling. For gamers, that means the phone is meant to hold its performance better once the device starts heating up under heavier workloads.
Hardware built for gaming stability
Under the hood, the GT 50 Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate. The chip is built on a 4 nm process, reaches speeds of up to 3.25 GHz, and supports Native 144 FPS in a number of popular esports titles.
Infinix also pairs the chipset with Dolby Atmos and an N1 Network Chip. The network hardware is claimed to improve signal strength by up to 60%, which should help keep connections more stable during competitive play.
Controls that go beyond standard gaming features
The GT 50 Pro also adds GT Trigger, a dual pressure-sensitive control system. It supports four input actions: tap, hard press, slide left, and slide right.
Users can configure it through XArena or Game Assistant. The feature is not limited to gaming, either, since it can also be used for photography tasks such as taking pictures with a tap or zooming through slide gestures.
Part of a wider Infinix gaming ecosystem
The phone is only one part of Infinix’s broader GT AIoT ecosystem. The GT Watch 5 Pro can track heart rate, gaming session duration, and sync game countdown, while also showing respawn time with a simple wrist raise.
Audio is covered by GT Buds 5, which offer ultra-low latency of up to 44 ms, 12 mm drivers, and Dolby Spatial Audio for a 360-degree soundscape. Infinix is also using the GT 50 Pro as the Official Gaming Phone for MPL Indonesia Season 17 and MDL Indonesia Season 13.
For the first time, GT Watch is integrated into the esports tournament ecosystem to monitor player heart rate. That shows Infinix is trying to build a connected gaming environment, not just a stand-alone phone launch.
Colors, memory options, and launch offers
The GT 50 Pro comes in Black Abyss, Red Blaze, and Silver Glacier. Two memory variants are available: 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB.
