Acer is positioning the Predator Helios Neo 16S AI as a gaming laptop that tries to remove the usual trade-off between portability and power. The company frames it around a “Slim but Savage” approach, aiming at gamers and creators who want serious performance without carrying a bulky chassis.
That idea is not limited to the design. Acer also places AI at the center of the system so the laptop can help manage workloads more intelligently, especially when the machine has to shift between creative tasks and demanding games.
AI at the core of performance
The Predator Helios Neo 16S AI uses a latest-generation processor with a dedicated NPU for AI-based tasks. Acer says this setup is meant to do more than provide raw speed, because it also helps the system respond to changing workloads in real time.
AI support is used not only for creative work such as video rendering. It also helps distribute power dynamically so performance stays efficient when the laptop is pushed hard. Acer’s AI Boost feature is designed to detect user workloads intelligently and help keep temperatures under control during heavy applications and competitive gaming.
RTX 5060 brings a stronger graphics focus
For graphics, Acer equips the laptop with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060. The GPU comes with the latest NVIDIA architecture, including improvements to Ray Tracing and DLSS 4.0.
Acer says the combination is meant to deliver smoother visuals on the 16-inch display with a high refresh rate. The GPU also brings AI support for smarter frame generation, which is intended to help keep FPS more stable in newer AAA games, even at Ultra graphics settings.

Thin gaming laptops often struggle when they run under sustained load, but Acer says thermal handling remains a priority here. The Predator Helios Neo 16S AI uses 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fans together with liquid metal thermal grease to improve heat dissipation.
This cooling setup is meant to reduce the risk of thermal throttling during long gaming sessions or heavy workloads. Acer’s approach shows that the slimmer body is not only about aesthetics, but also about keeping performance consistent when the laptop is under pressure.
Built for gaming and daily use
Beyond raw hardware, Acer also adds features that matter in everyday use. The keyboard includes per-key RGB lighting that can be customized through PredatorSense software.
Connectivity is also part of the package, with Wi-Fi 7 support included. That makes the laptop better suited for online gaming with lower latency and a smoother connection.
