Xiaomi Launches 20% Battery Replacement Discount Across 67 Models, Saving Older Phones From Early Retirement

A limited battery replacement promotion is making Xiaomi phones easier to keep in service for longer. In China, the company is offering 20 percent off battery replacement for 67 devices, giving owners of older and newer models a lower-cost way to address fading battery life.

The service runs until 7 May, with replacement prices starting from 47.2 yuan. That makes the option notably cheaper than buying a new handset, especially for users whose phones still work well apart from reduced battery endurance.

Wide coverage across Xiaomi and Redmi lines

One of the most notable parts of the program is its broad device list. Xiaomi has included multiple generations at once, rather than limiting the offer to only recent releases.

The selection covers the Xiaomi 10 Pro, the Xiaomi 11, 12, 13, 14, and the newly released Xiaomi 15 series. It also extends to the Mix family, including Mix 4, Mix Fold models, and Mix Flip.

Redmi devices make up a large share of the program as well. The list includes the Redmi Note 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 series, along with the Redmi K40, K50, K60, and K70 series, plus Redmi Turbo models.

A broader Redmi numbered model is also part of the offer, including Redmi 14C. That shows the promotion is not limited to premium phones and reaches a wider range of users.

A practical answer to aging batteries

The timing of the campaign reflects a simple reality: phone batteries do not hold up forever. After hundreds of charging cycles, capacity naturally declines, and battery life becomes shorter.

Xiaomi says this kind of wear is normal behavior for a battery. As long as the device still meets daily needs, users may not need to worry too much about the gradual drop in endurance.

When the battery no longer supports routine use, replacement becomes a practical solution. It can extend the life of a phone without forcing the owner to spend much more on a replacement device.

For many users, battery wear is the main reason to consider an upgrade. But if the rest of the phone remains in good condition, replacing the battery is often the more sensible move.

Part of a regular service effort

Xiaomi regularly holds service week events in China throughout the year. These promotions are popular because they offer official maintenance at more approachable prices.

The battery discount fits that broader service approach by encouraging longer device use. Functional hardware can stay in circulation instead of being replaced early just because the battery has weakened.

That matters for users who continue to rely on older devices. If performance is still acceptable, a battery swap can deliver the biggest day-to-day improvement with relatively little cost.

How Xiaomi describes battery health

Alongside the promotion, Xiaomi also addressed battery health in general. The company distinguishes normal degradation from abnormal degradation caused by certain conditions.

According to Xiaomi, abnormal wear can result from physical impact, extreme temperatures, or poor charging habits. Such cases should be handled sooner so the issue does not get worse.

To help batteries last longer, Xiaomi advises users to avoid very hot or very cold environments. The company also encourages standard charging habits rather than irregular patterns.

For users in China with one of the 67 eligible models, the period until 7 May offers a window to take advantage of the program. With official replacement prices starting at 47.2 yuan after the 20 percent discount, keeping a Xiaomi phone in usable condition becomes considerably more affordable.
