Motorola’s next foldable is moving closer to an India launch, and the clearest signal so far is the official teaser page now marked “coming soon.” The landing page also includes a notification option, which suggests the company is preparing to open the local rollout without much delay.
That move matters because the Razr Fold is not just another addition to Motorola’s portfolio. It is the brand’s first book-style foldable, expanding the Razr name beyond the clamshell format that has long defined the series.
A premium foldable with a different role in Motorola’s lineup
The Razr Fold was already introduced at MWC 2026 and has started its international journey in Europe. It is also scheduled to arrive in China this month before heading to India, which makes the new teaser page a strong indicator that the Indian debut is now close.
For Motorola, India appears to be an important market for this premium device. The active landing page also shows that the company is starting to build early visibility around a segment that has become increasingly competitive.
Large displays on both sides of the fold
Motorola has positioned the Razr Fold as a flagship-level foldable with a focus on display quality. On the outside, it carries a 6.6-inch pOLED screen with a 2520 x 1080 resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, up to 6000 nits peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 protection.
Open the device, and the experience changes to an 8.1-inch LTPO inner display. That panel offers a 2484 x 2232 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, up to 6200 nits peak brightness, and UTG protection, giving the phone a large canvas for media, multitasking, and productivity.
Flagship hardware and a large battery
Under the hood, the Razr Fold runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Motorola pairs the chip with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage, placing the device firmly in premium territory.
Battery capacity is another major highlight. The phone uses a 6000mAh silicon-carbon battery, supported by 80W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wired charging.
Triple rear cameras and two selfie cameras
Motorola has also given the Razr Fold a serious camera setup. The rear system is led by a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-828 main camera with OIS, joined by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 122-degree field of view.
There is also a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS. For front-facing use, the device includes a 32-megapixel camera on the outer display and a 20-megapixel camera inside.
Video features are equally ambitious for a foldable. The Razr Fold supports 8K recording and Dolby Vision, which adds to its multimedia appeal.
Software support, durability, and stylus compatibility
The phone ships with Android 16 and comes with a commitment to seven Android upgrades and seven years of security updates. Motorola also lists support for the Motorola Pen Ultra, which gives the device a more productivity-focused angle.
Durability is another part of the pitch, with IP48/49 protection included. That rating is meant to strengthen confidence in a device category that often raises questions about long-term toughness.
Motorola has not revealed India pricing yet. In Europe, the Razr Fold sits in the premium foldable tier, and its Indian launch is expected to place it against rivals such as the Vivo X Fold 6 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8.
