Casio has taken a familiar G-Shock formula and pushed it in a sharper direction with the Electro Green series. Instead of launching an entirely new line, the brand has recolored five existing models with matte black finishes, neon green accents, and green-tinted LCD panels that make the watches look far more aggressive.
The result is a collection that keeps the core G-Shock identity intact while adding a stronger visual edge. For buyers who want a bold watch without moving away from the brand’s established rugged style, the black-and-neon contrast does most of the work.
Five models, one visual theme
Casio first introduced the Electro Green collection in Japan in April and later brought it to the United States. In the U.S. market, the range runs from $110 to $180 and covers both basic battery-powered models and versions with Bluetooth and solar charging.
At the top of the lineup sits the GA-B010BEG-1A, priced at $180. It includes Tough Solar, Bluetooth connectivity, and a step tracker, making it the most fully equipped watch in the series.
The connected lineup also includes the GA-B2100BEG-1A at $165. This model adds Bluetooth and solar power as well, but it does not include a step tracker.
Classic G-Shock options remain in the mix
For buyers who do not need app connectivity, Casio has added three more models with the same Electro Green styling. These watches focus on the more traditional G-Shock formula while keeping the black-and-green look consistent across the collection.
The GD-010BEG-1 is the only full digital model in the group. It costs $110, uses bio-based resin, and runs on a CR2025 battery that Casio estimates will last around 10 years.
Casio also offers the GA-100BEG-1A for $120. This analog-digital hybrid uses standard resin, includes a magnetic-resistant case and a speed indicator dial, and has a battery life of two years.
The third non-connected option is the GA-700BEG-1A, also priced at $110. It uses an analog-digital hybrid layout, offers a five-year battery life, and places a large front button on the case for activating the LED backlight.
Shared G-Shock core beneath the new look
Despite the different layouts and power systems, all five watches share the same main G-Shock foundation. Each model is shock resistant, water resistant to 200 meters, and equipped with a stopwatch, countdown timer, world time, and daily alarm.
The design language is what ties the series together most clearly. Matte black cases and straps create a utilitarian base, while neon green lettering and green LCD details give the watches a more forceful appearance.
Casio also uses bio-based materials on selected models in the range. That includes the GD-010BEG-1, GA-B010BEG-1A, and GA-B2100BEG-1A.
Price and feature differences define the lineup
The biggest differences in the series come down to connectivity and power management. The simpler models sit in the $110 to $120 range, while the Bluetooth and solar-equipped watches rise to $165 and $180.
Casio’s app support adds another layer to the connected models. Through the phone app, users can sync time automatically, locate a phone, and adjust alarms from their handset.
Electro Green joins a recent stream of Casio launches in the U.S., following two affordable AE1600HX digital watches and two Star Wars-themed G-Shock models. The collection is now available through Casio’s official website and retail partners in the United States.
