Razr Fold Heads to India With 8.1-Inch Display, 6,000mAh Battery, and Flagship Power

Motorola is bringing the Razr Fold to India with a clear premium pitch, and the company is leaning on a combination that stands out in the foldable segment: a large 8.1-inch main display and a 6,000mAh battery. The device has already been confirmed through an active official microsite, although the exact launch date has not been announced.

The India listing uses the same design as the global version, signaling that Motorola is preparing a straight premium introduction rather than a locally altered model. The phone was first shown globally at Mobile World Congress 2026 and then launched in the United States, with India now lined up as the next market.

Flagship hardware for a foldable device

Motorola pairs the Razr Fold with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 built on a 3nm process. The chipset is matched with the Adreno A829 GPU, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of internal storage.

That hardware package places the device firmly in flagship territory. It also suggests that Motorola wants the foldable to serve not only as a design-focused device, but also as a serious option for demanding daily use and heavy entertainment.

Large inner display and fast outer panel

The main screen on the Razr Fold is an 8.1-inch LTPO pOLED folding panel with 2K resolution. Motorola also gives it a 120Hz refresh rate and high brightness, aiming for smoother motion and a clearer viewing experience.

On the outside, the phone carries a 6.6-inch LTPO pOLED cover display. That panel supports up to a 165Hz refresh rate and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic, which adds durability to the part of the phone that is used most often.

Battery capacity is one of the biggest selling points

One of the strongest numbers attached to the Razr Fold is its 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. In a foldable form factor, that capacity is notable because it points to a device built for longer and more intensive use.

Charging support is equally aggressive. Motorola has equipped the Razr Fold with 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging, giving it a specification sheet that aims to reduce downtime.

Durability and India rollout

Motorola has also included an IP49 rating on the Razr Fold. That level of protection offers resistance against dust and water splashes, adding a practical layer of everyday durability.

For India, Motorola is also preparing online sales through Flipkart. The distribution strategy shows that the company is targeting digital-first buyers as it expands its premium foldable lineup in the market.

With its large display, flagship chipset, substantial battery, and basic protection rating, the Razr Fold enters India as a high-end foldable built to compete in a crowded premium category. Its arrival will add another book-style foldable to a segment that is increasingly defined by top-tier hardware.
