Honor Choice AI Projector Pro Puts Setup Ease First, With Clean Android 9.0 and Full HD Output

Honor is taking a practical route with the Choice AI Projector Pro, putting setup convenience at the center of the product instead of leaning only on aggressive pricing. The smart projector is aimed at users who want a cleaner, easier home projection experience without spending time on repeated manual adjustments.

That approach is backed by a set of automatic image tools designed to reduce friction when the projector is moved between rooms or used on different surfaces. Honor also ships the device with Android 9.0 and no startup ads, a detail that may appeal to buyers who prefer a more straightforward experience every time the projector is switched on.

Automatic adjustment is the main selling point

The Choice AI Projector Pro includes automatic focus, curtain adaptation, intelligent obstacle avoidance, and four-way keystone correction. These features are meant to handle the kind of real-world placement issues that often come with home projectors.

Obstacle avoidance helps the projector work around objects that appear in the projection area. Four-way keystone correction keeps the image proportional even when the unit is not perfectly aligned with the screen or wall. Curtain adaptation is also useful in home use, since it supports projection onto surfaces such as curtains.

Full HD hardware and optical setup

Honor equips the projector with a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, with the same figure listed as its maximum compatible resolution. It uses a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 1.2:1 throw ratio, placing it firmly in the familiar home projector category.

The company also lists a contrast ratio of 2500:1 and a brightness figure of 750 nits, although the exact measurement standard for that brightness number is not explained. Compared with the earlier Honor Firefly AI Projector Air, which carries a 280 CVIA lumens rating, the Pro model appears brighter on paper.

For the optical system, Honor uses an all-glass lens and a 2.69-inch LCD display chip. Those components form part of the company’s effort to improve the base image quality of the Pro model.

Hardware, system software, and audio

Inside, the projector runs on the HiSilicon V352 chip and comes with 2GB of RAM plus 32GB of internal storage. It ships with Android 9.0 from the start, and Honor highlights the absence of startup advertisements as part of the user experience.

Audio is handled by a built-in 5W speaker. That makes the device usable without external speakers in basic scenarios, although the sound output remains modest.

Connectivity is useful, but not exhaustive

Honor includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, near-field voice control, wireless screen casting, HDMI 2.0, and two USB ports. That combination should be enough for common home use, whether the projector is being connected to a streaming source, a laptop, or a storage device.

Some features are intentionally left out. The projector does not offer Ethernet, optical zoom, Type-C connectivity, MEMC motion smoothing, or 3D playback. Those omissions keep the product positioned in the budget-focused segment rather than in a feature-heavy premium tier.

Pricing and position in the lineup

Honor has priced the Choice AI Projector Pro at 1,410.5 yuan. The device is scheduled to launch in China on May 15, with Titanium Gray and Starlight White listed as color options.

The new model sits above the Honor Firefly AI Projector Air 2025, which arrived earlier at 599 yuan. Where the Air model emphasizes affordability and portability, the Pro version shifts the focus toward better image quality and easier setup for home use.
