Red Dead Redemption 2 and Star Wars Outlaws Power PS Plus’ Strongest May 2026 Lineup

PlayStation Plus is set for a notable May lineup, with Red Dead Redemption 2 and Star Wars Outlaws arriving in the same update. The new catalog becomes available on 19 May, giving subscribers a strong reason to check what their tier includes before the rotation changes.

The appeal of this update goes beyond two headline names. Most of the newly added games are reserved for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members, which makes the May selection especially relevant for players who want to get the most out of their subscription.

A lineup built around major releases

Red Dead Redemption 2 stands out immediately as the biggest draw in the new catalog. Rockstar Games’ open-world Western is returning to PS Plus with the kind of name recognition that can shape an entire monthly update.

Star Wars Outlaws adds another major pull to the list. Its arrival helps make the May 2026 catalog feel more substantial, especially for players looking for recent high-profile titles alongside older favorites.

Sony is not relying on those two releases alone. Bramble: The Mountain King, The Thaumaturge, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, Broken Sword – Shadows of the Templar: Reforged, and Enotria: The Last Song Standard Edition are all joining the service as well.

Which tier gets what

Access to the new games depends on the plan a subscriber holds. Star Wars Outlaws, Red Dead Redemption 2, Bramble: The Mountain King, The Thaumaturge, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, Broken Sword – Shadows of the Templar: Reforged, and Enotria: The Last Song Standard Edition are available to Extra and Premium members.

Time Crisis is the only title in the batch with a stricter limit. It is reserved for PlayStation Plus Premium and does not extend to the Extra tier.

Sony also notes that games released on PS4 and PS5 will be available on both platforms. That detail matters for subscribers who still split their playtime between older hardware and current-generation consoles.

Games leaving the catalog at the same time

The same May refresh also brings departures. Control Ultimate Edition, Sand Land, Soul Hackers 2, MotoGP 25, Mortal Shell for PS4, Mortal Shell Enhanced Edition for PS5, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan, and The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope are all leaving the Extra and Premium catalogs.

Those titles will exit on 19 May, the same day the new additions go live. Until then, subscribers can still download and play them normally, but access ends after the catalog update takes effect.

Why the May update matters

The mix of blockbuster names and varied supporting titles gives the May 2026 PlayStation Plus update a broad appeal. Red Dead Redemption 2 and Star Wars Outlaws anchor the list, while the other additions expand the range of genres available to subscribers.

For Extra members, the update brings most of the new lineup in one wave. Premium users get the same catalog plus Time Crisis, which gives that tier a small but clear advantage in this month’s rotation.

With 19 May approaching, PS Plus subscribers face both an opportunity and a deadline. The new catalog offers a strong slate to jump into, while several existing games are preparing to leave the service on the same day.
