Ayaneo Sets June Rollout For Next 2, New Buyers Still Face Uncertainty

Author: Qoo Media

Ayaneo has given buyers a clearer picture of when its long-awaited Next 2 and Konkr Fit handheld Windows devices will move out of the waiting stage. The update matters because both products were introduced before their distribution plans were fully settled, leaving many potential buyers unsure about when units would actually leave the factory.

The most concrete news centers on Next 2. Ayaneo says the device will begin shipping in June for Indiegogo backers, with the first wave expected to go out at the end of June if everything stays on schedule.

That detail also explains why new buyers still face uncertainty. Ayaneo has already closed Next 2 orders since March 23, and the company has not promised additional production beyond the units already in the pipeline.

Production is finally moving

Ayaneo says its suppliers have started making key Next 2 parts, including the motherboard, display, battery, and other core components. Less critical parts were completed earlier, which suggests the project has moved well beyond the announcement stage.

The company is targeting production testing at the beginning of June. Mass production is then expected to start in mid-June before the initial shipping wave reaches backers at the end of the month.

Even with those milestones in place, the timeline is still dependent on manufacturing progress. Any disruption on the production line could push the shipping schedule away from the target Ayaneo has outlined.

No clear path yet for fresh orders

For people who missed the original window, the situation remains limited. Ayaneo says it cannot guarantee extra production for new orders outside the current plan.

The company is still offering a narrow informal waiting-list option. Interested buyers can contact customer service and register their preferred configuration and color choice.

Ayaneo also said it will notify some customers if additional ordering opportunities appear later. Still, the company emphasized that no promise has been made beyond the production plan already in motion.

Konkr Fit is moving on a similar timeline

Ayaneo also provided an update on Konkr Fit, another Windows handheld in its lineup. The device is scheduled to enter production at the end of this month, and shipping could start in June if that stage proceeds smoothly.

Unlike Next 2, however, Ayaneo did not provide a more precise delivery date for Konkr Fit. The update still shows that the company is trying to advance both handhelds at the same time, even if they are at different stages of readiness.

For handheld PC buyers, this kind of schedule update is often the point where anticipation turns into something more tangible. The fact that major components such as the motherboard, display, and battery are already in production indicates that Next 2 is no longer just a concept on paper.

At the same time, the tight control over orders shows that demand and supply are still not fully aligned. For buyers who were hoping to purchase later, that means the nearest confirmed window belongs to backers, while everyone else must wait for any sign of extra capacity.
