HyperOS 3.1 is still reaching Xiaomi devices in stages, and that slower rollout is leaving many owners waiting longer than expected. The delay is especially noticeable for Redmi and Poco users, even though the update is meant to improve performance, power efficiency, AI functions, and cross-device connectivity.
That cautious approach reflects Xiaomi’s current priority: stability over speed. Rather than pushing the firmware broadly right away, the company appears to be refining each build so the update can land more smoothly across its large and diverse device lineup.
Why the rollout is moving slowly
Xiaomi community trackers and HyperOS firmware monitors point to technical tuning as the main reason behind the hold-up. The company is still adjusting chipset optimization and software behavior for different regions, while also adding extra validation to reduce the risk of bugs.
That process matters because Xiaomi does not distribute software in a single uniform package. The rollout is split across China, Europe, India, and global markets, since each region uses different chipset configurations and device settings.
Which devices are still waiting
Several models have not yet received HyperOS 3.1, including Xiaomi 13 Lite, Redmi Note 13 4G, Redmi Note 12 Turbo, Poco X6 Neo, Poco M7 Pro, and some older Redmi Pad tablets. Most of those devices are still running HyperOS 3 based on Android 15.
For owners of those models, the wait means the new system improvements are still out of reach. It also leaves them one step behind devices that have already moved to the newer release.
The first devices to get it
At the other end of the rollout, Xiaomi 15 Ultra and Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro have already received HyperOS 3.1. Those devices are said to benefit from gaming optimizations and smoother cross-device synchronization.
This pattern fits Xiaomi’s usual rollout strategy. Higher-end devices often enter the first wave, while other models follow later once the company is satisfied that the software is stable enough for wider release.

Xiaomi has not published a formal timetable for when all compatible devices will receive HyperOS 3.1. Based on previous release patterns, a full rollout typically still takes several weeks to several months after the first launch phase.
For users who have not seen the update yet, the delay does not mean cancellation. It indicates that the rollout is still in progress while Xiaomi continues technical adjustments across different markets.
