MNUFC’s Final Tune-Up Before The Break, RSL Arrives Hot And Hungry At Allianz Field

Minnesota United will host Real Salt Lake in an afternoon matchup that closes out the Loons’ schedule before the league pause for the biggest global competition. The game brings together a Western Conference contender riding confidence and a Minnesota side looking to respond after back-to-back losses.

Real Salt Lake enters the match sitting third in the West and has been driven by a strong attacking group that includes Sergi Solans, Zavier Gozo, and Diego Luna. Minnesota United, meanwhile, will lean on home support at Allianz Field, where the atmosphere is set to include World Cup sendoff energy, a $2 hot dog promotion, and a full slate of pregame activities.

What fans should know before leaving

Supporters heading to Allianz Field are being encouraged to plan ahead, starting with parking. The club says parking passes should be purchased in advance through SeatGeek.com to help guarantee a spot and reduce time spent at the lots.

Allianz Field is a cashless venue, so fans should bring a card for purchases inside the stadium. The MNUFC app is also recommended for ticket access, stadium maps, Supporters Chants, and other matchday information.

For anyone needing a quick reference, the club directs fans to the A-Z Guide for stadium policies and other essentials. First-time visitors can also use the Rookie Guide for a basic overview of what to expect at Allianz Field.

Pregame activity around the stadium

The Sun Country Pre-Party returns on the Great Lawn beginning at 1:30 p.m., with music, food, giveaways, and other activities planned before kickoff. The club is also asking fans to join the Wonderwall March to the Match by meeting at The Calling loon sculpture one hour before the game.

That march will lead supporters to the Bell Bank SW Entrance and into the stadium, and Sections 21–23 in the Supporters Section will be reserved for the Wonderwall. STM guests who RSVP’d can also attend an exclusive pregame Chalk Talk at 1:15 p.m. in the Grand Casino Brew Hall with CEO Shari Ballard and Chief Soccer Officer Khaled El-Ahmad.

Merchandise, food, and matchday specials

A new UNRL drop will be available on gameday, with the Players’ Edition highlighting the connection between where the players come from and where they are now. The collection features five international players, five nations, and one team, and it will be sold in the Black and Blue Team Store in Section 27 while supplies last.

Fans can also round up purchases at the Black and Blue Team Store during May to support Special Olympics, with the club matching donations made through that effort. On the food side, all hot dogs in the stadium will cost $2, and an interactive map can help fans find them quickly.

Other options include the interactive menu map for general concessions and premium-specific menus for the Field Club, Upper 90 Club, and Stadium Club. Roon Johnson from Roon’s Savories will also be on site in Section 30 serving savory waffle cones, while fans 21 and older can try the specialty strawberry mojito at the Grand Casino Brew Hall and in premium spaces.

Honors and community notes

The pregame ceremony will include a national anthem performance by Gary Ruschman, with the National Guard presenting the colors. Tony Sanneh, recently inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame, will handle the coin toss, while Sophia Hanks, John Sheesley, assistance dog Jersey, Makara Fairman, the Eull family, and Finley’s ambassador Dennis will each be recognized in different gameday honors.

In observance of Memorial Day, the Xcel Energy Eye of the Loon will remain empty, and veterans and active duty military members will be asked to stand at halftime. The club is also continuing a pop-tab collection for Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Upper Midwest, with bins placed throughout the stadium and outside for fans bringing tabs from home.

Allianz Field is also pushing waste reduction through sorted recycling and organics bins, and the stadium’s water sustainability effort includes refill stations at concourse sections 9, 15, 21, 25, 30, and 36. Fans can bring empty, clear plastic bottles to use at the stations as Minnesota United prepares for one of its most notable home dates before the league pause.
