Dave Chappelle will return to Detroit for a show at Little Caesars Arena on June 15, marking another major stop in a limited U.S. run he has called Pulling Up. The announcement came Thursday, June 4, and tickets are set to go on sale at noon Friday through Ticketmaster.
The Detroit date adds another high-profile comedy event to the downtown arena, which can host more than 15,000 fans in a comedy setup. It will be Chappelle’s second career performance at LCA, following his debut there in 2023.
Tour rollout and ticket timing
The Detroit stop is part of a brief run, and the schedule gives fans little time between the on-sale date and the performance itself. Chappelle is expected to arrive just 10 days after tickets first become available.
The noon announcement also pointed to additional tour stops in Baltimore and Cleveland. That suggests the Pulling Up run will remain limited, with each date drawing attention quickly as details are released.
A comic with a long Detroit history
Detroit has remained an important city for Chappelle over the years, both for sold-out appearances and for moments that later became part of his stand-up material. One of the most talked-about examples came from a 2015 show at the Fillmore Detroit, where his slurred performance drew boos and heckling.
Chappelle later turned that episode into comedy, saying he had gotten too high backstage with local rappers. Detroit artist Danny Brown later backed up that account, adding another layer to the story that followed the set.
Recent work and continued momentum
The June 15 Detroit show also comes after a busy period in Chappelle’s career. His eighth Netflix special, The Unstoppable, was released in December.
That release kept Chappelle in the spotlight as he continued to build momentum on stage and on screen. The upcoming LCA performance now gives Detroit another chance to see one of the most influential stand-up comics working today.
