Stephen Wilson Jr. has released a new single titled “Preacher’s Kid,” adding another chapter to a busy run that has included major touring, television performances, and recent award recognition. The song arrives as the singer-songwriter continues to build momentum after earning his first ACM Award for Visual Media of the Year for the official video for “Cuckoo,” which he co-directed with longtime creative collaborator Tim Cofield.
The release also follows a stretch that has kept Wilson Jr. in front of wide audiences across live stages and TV appearances. He previously premiered “Gary” with a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and later brought the song to This Past Weekend with Theo Von and The Howard Stern Show.
A new song amid a packed schedule
“Preacher’s Kid” comes as Wilson Jr. moves through one of the busiest periods of his career. His recent work has continued to connect music, visual storytelling, and live performance, with “Gary” also receiving an official video that featured award-winning actor Gary Sinise, known for Forrest Gump and Apollo 13.
That blend of songwriting and cinematic presentation has become a clear part of Wilson Jr.’s profile. His collaboration with Cofield has now produced nine official video projects, underscoring the importance of visuals in how his music is being presented to audiences.
