Olivia Rodrigo is turning a longtime idea into a one-day festival with a lineup built entirely around women. Daisy Chain Fields will take over Irvine, California’s Great Park on Aug. 29, with Rodrigo headlining alongside a roster that stretches across pop, rock, punk, and R&B.
The event stands out not just for the names on the bill, but for where the money is going. Rodrigo said 100 percent of the net proceeds will benefit charities dedicated to advancing and advocating for women and girls.
A lineup packed with high-profile names
Daisy Chain Fields will feature Chappell Roan, Doechii, Katseye, Mitski, the Breeders, Die Spitz, Bikini Kill, Eli, Garbage, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri, and Not for Radio. Special guests Karen O, Stevie Nicks, and Sarah McLachlan are also set to appear.
The mix gives the festival a broad range of styles while keeping the focus on an all-female lineup. That combination fits Rodrigo’s message that “joy, community, and music” can help drive meaningful change.
Rodrigo says the festival has been a long-time dream
In a social media post, Rodrigo said she had “a dream of doing this festival for years” and said she was excited that it was finally becoming real. She also called the lineup “truly insane and full of my heroes and friends.”
She added that she could not wait to “scream and dance and sing” with fans on Aug. 29. The festival announcement also pointed fans to presale signup through the event’s website.
Partner organizations and current momentum
Among the organizations partnering with the festival are Baby2Baby, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, Center for Reproductive Rights, FreeFrom, Jhpiego, Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, National Domestic Workers Alliance, National Institute for Reproductive Health, National Women’s Law Center, and Planned Parenthood.
Rodrigo is coming off the success of her third album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and became her third straight album to reach the top of the chart.
