Hearts Fans Face Travel Disruption and Strict Entry Checks for Rayo Vallecano Friendly

Author: Qoo Media

Hearts supporters heading to Friday night’s pre-season friendly against Rayo Vallecano are being urged to allow extra time for their journey. Ongoing road closures around Edinburgh, combined with entry searches at the stadium, could affect matchday plans.

The match kicks off at 7:45pm, with turnstiles opening an hour earlier at 6:45pm. Supporters who arrive after travelling through affected routes may face delays, so early arrival is advised.

Matchday Timings

Service Time
Kick-off 7:45pm
Turnstiles open 6:45pm
Ticket Office 9am until kick-off
Clubstore 11am until kick-off
Eighteen74 Bar 5pm to 11pm

Tickets remain available online and in person from the Hearts Ticket Office. The Ticket Office will operate from 9am until kick-off, while the Clubstore opens from 11am until the match begins.

Road Closures Could Affect Travel

Supporters should plan ahead because Gorgie Road remains closed near Saughton Park. A separate closure and diversions on Princes Street may also alter usual routes to the stadium.

www.heartsfc.co.uk has highlighted the continued disruption ahead of the fixture. Fans are encouraged to check the available travel information before setting off.

Entry Rules and Post-Match Safety

Searching is a condition of entry, and anyone who refuses to cooperate will be denied access to the stadium. Supporters considered to have consumed excessive alcohol will also be refused entry.

Pyrotechnics and other prohibited items must not be brought into the ground. Unacceptable conduct can lead to ejection and sanctions under the club’s unacceptable conduct policy.

After the final whistle, supporters have been asked not to gather on Wheatfield Street. Players will no longer stop there when leaving the stadium because of health and safety concerns.

Shops, Food and the Eighteen74 Bar

The Tynie Shop in the Wheatfield Stand will operate before the match and again at half-time. It will sell tops, scarves and other matchday essentials, with card payments only.

Stadium kiosks will be open throughout the ground and will also accept card payments only. The Eighteen74 Bar in the Main Stand is available to match-ticket holders from 5pm and closes at 11pm.

Jambos Jackpot Returns

Jambos Jackpot will return on Friday night, giving supporters a way to support the Heart of Midlothian Academy. The jackpot prize is £5,100, with a £250 prize and match-prepared Craig Gordon and Jordi Altena jerseys also available.

Tickets for the draw can be purchased until kick-off. The initiative combines the prize draw with support for the club’s academy.

Special Programme and Hearts TV PPV

A special A4 match programme will mark 140 years of Tynecastle Park. The £6 edition includes Tynecastle-focused features and will be sold around the ground, in the Clubstore and at the Tynie Shop.

The programme is also available online through Curtis Sport. Supporters unable to attend can watch the match live through Hearts TV PPV, with commentary from Laurie Dunsire and Robert Borthwick.
