Orlando Weather Update: Scattered Showers Expected Ahead of Cooler Temperatures

Orlando Weather: A Few Scattered Showers Before Cooler Temperatures Arrive

A cold front is moving into Central Florida, bringing a 40% chance of scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms to the Orlando area. The wettest periods are expected between late morning, around 10-11 a.m., and mid-afternoon, from 5-6 p.m., although rainfall will be brief and intermittent rather than continuous.

Despite the chance of showers, temperatures will remain warm with highs reaching up to 82°F in Orlando. This is notably warmer than the average high of 76°F typically seen in early December across the region.

After sunset, rain is expected to taper off as skies gradually clear overnight. Cooler, drier air will move in behind the front, accompanied by increasing northerly winds. Morning lows on Wednesday will dip into the upper 50s and low 60s, marking a notable cooldown compared to recent days.

Wednesday will be breezy, with wind gusts reaching around 20 mph. Highs will fall to the low 70s, below the seasonal average, providing a refreshing break from the previous warmth. The day is forecasted to be mostly sunny and pleasant.

Further cooling is anticipated by Thursday morning, with lows dropping into the upper 40s and low 50s. Daytime highs will remain steady in the mid-70s, offering comfortable conditions before temperatures rise again heading into Friday.

Looking ahead to the weekend, weather models indicate another system may bring scattered showers to Central Florida on Saturday and Sunday. Residents should stay prepared for variable weather as temperatures climb back toward the 80s.
