New Arkansas Head Coach Ryan Silverfield has announced his key coaching hires. Tim Cramsey will serve as offensive coordinator, Chad Lunsford as special teams coordinator, and Ron Roberts as defensive coordinator.
Cramsey reunites with Silverfield after four seasons together at Memphis. His Memphis offenses ranked in the Top 25 nationally in scoring every year, averaging 36.3 points per game across 51 games.
In 2025, Cramsey guided a balanced Memphis attack that averaged 420.7 yards per game. The offense featured three All-American Conference selections, including WR Cortez Braham Jr. and OL Travis Burke.
Memphis finished with an 11-win season in 2024, ranking No. 23 in the Coaches’ Poll. The Tigers averaged 35.7 points and 444.5 yards per game while quarterback Seth Henigan set conference records for yards and touchdowns.
Lunsford arrives from Auburn, where he was the special teams coordinator. Under his guidance, Auburn’s kicker Alex McPherson made a career-best 20 field goals in 2025.
Lunsford previously served as head coach at Georgia Southern from 2018 through 2021, compiling a 28-21 record. His teams earned bowl victories in the Camellia Bowl and New Orleans Bowl during his tenure.
With experience dating back to 1996, Lunsford’s coaching résumé includes roles at Georgia Military College, Appalachian State, and Auburn’s front office. He brings strong special teams acumen and leadership to Arkansas.
Roberts brings more than 30 years of coaching experience, including roles as a Power 5 defensive coordinator. He led Florida’s defense in 2024, helping the Gators win their final four games.
Florida’s defense under Roberts ranked ninth nationally in red zone defense and 11th in sacks per game. His Auburn defense in 2025 finished top 50 nationally in multiple categories and led the SEC in red zone defense.
Roberts helped Baylor win a Big 12 title with one of the nation’s top defensive units. His defenses are known for forcing turnovers and limiting opponents’ scoring chances.
All three coordinators bring proven track records of success to Arkansas. Their diverse experiences align well with Silverfield’s vision to elevate the Razorbacks’ competitiveness.
Tim Cramsey, Chad Lunsford, and Ron Roberts officially begin their roles this offseason, setting the stage for Arkansas football’s next chapter.
