Ricky Pearsall Active, Ji’Ayir Brown Out: Full Inactives List for Divisional #SFvsSEA Game

The San Francisco 49ers have announced their inactives ahead of the NFC Divisional Round clash against the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field. With only 48 players allowed on the active gameday roster, the team confirmed several key absences that will impact their lineup.

Wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, along with linebackers Dee Winters and Luke Gifford, were listed as questionable throughout the week. Despite limited practices, all three players were active and expected to suit up against Seattle. Offensive lineman Trent Williams also returned to full participation after a hamstring concern and remained available for the game.

Safety Ji’Ayir Brown, however, was ruled out due to a hamstring injury sustained in the second quarter of the 49ers’ Wild Card victory over the Eagles. Brown’s absence marks a significant loss in the secondary for San Francisco.

Linebacker Fred Warner, whose dislocated and broken ankle injury had originally ended his season in Week 6, made a notable return to practice. The team initiated Warner’s 21-day practice window earlier in the week, and although he practiced in a limited capacity and showed progress, head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed Warner would not be activated for this game.

San Francisco 49ers Inactives vs. Seattle Seahawks:

  1. Ji’Ayir Brown (Safety) – Hamstring injury
  2. Fred Warner (Linebacker) – Ankle recovery
  3. Additional players not specified, totaling standard inactives to meet the 48-player active limit

These decisions reflect the team’s attempt to balance health concerns with competitive readiness as they aim to extend their postseason run. The 49ers will need other defensive backs to step up in Brown’s absence, and the front office will monitor Warner’s progress for future games.
