Netflix to Release Lainey Wilson Documentary Showcasing Her Rise as a Modern Country Star

Netflix has secured the global streaming rights for the documentary Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool, spotlighting the rising country music superstar. The film is scheduled for release on the platform on April 22.

Directed by Amy Scott, the documentary was produced by Teton Ridge Entertainment, Sandbox Studios, and MakeMake, in partnership with Shark Pig Studios. It highlights Wilson’s journey in redefining modern country music.

The film captures a critical phase in Wilson’s career, showcasing both her personal struggles and triumphs. It also documents her efforts to stay authentic while building a strong connection with live audiences nationwide.

Financial backing for the documentary came primarily from Teton Ridge Entertainment and Sandbox Studios. The project brought together a notable production team including Angus Wall, Terry Leonard, Kent Kubena, Thomas Tull, Jillian Share, Jason Owen, and Jen Gorton.

Executive producers Amanda Monchick, Josh Miller, Katie Admire, Jillian Apfelbaum, and Nicolas Gordon also played crucial roles in the film’s development. Their combined expertise supported the documentary’s authentic representation of Wilson’s story.

Amy Scott described the documentary as an “intimate journey with one of the most dynamic and fascinating artists of today.” She emphasized Wilson’s authenticity and inspiring story as key elements that distinguish the film.
