USA Olympic Skater Ilia Malinin Postpones Media Session After Performance

Mikhail Shaidorov of Kazakhstan won the gold medal with a total of 291.58 points, achieving personal bests in both overall and free skate scores. Yuma Kagiyama and Shun Sato of Japan took silver and bronze, respectively.
Despite the disappointing finish, Malinin stayed gracious and congratulated his Kazakhstani competitor after the event. He reflected that if he had competed in Beijing four years earlier, at age 17, his performance might have been stronger.
