Wide receiver Alec Pierce is set to remain with the Indianapolis Colts under a new contract. Sources confirm he signed a four-year deal worth $116 million, securing his return to the team.
Pierce’s status was uncertain after the Colts applied the transition tag on quarterback Daniel Jones. This move allowed Pierce to enter free agency, but the lucrative contract averaging $29 million annually convinced him to stay.
In the 2025 season, Pierce achieved a career-best performance. He surpassed 1,000 receiving yards for the first time, finishing with 1,003 yards on 47 receptions. His average of 21.3 yards per catch led the NFL for the second consecutive year.
Pierce demonstrated exceptional ability as a deep-ball threat. Over one-third of his catches—36.2%—were for gains of 20 yards or more. His reliability was also notable, with a career-low one dropped pass recorded that season.
