Lindsay Hubbard Hits Back At Michael Rapaport, Calls Out His “Overrated” Attack

Michael Rapaport and Lindsay Hubbard have landed in a public back-and-forth after the actor called the “Summer House” star “overrated” in an Instagram video. Rapaport framed the post as a “hot take” on Hubbard and the Bravo series, but the comment quickly drew a sharp response from Hubbard.

Rapaport said he had been “advised not to even speak on this as a straight, cis, White male,” but added that he could not be silenced. He then brought up Hubbard’s personal history, including her broken engagement to Carl Radke, and questioned whether her storyline had become too centered on him.

Rapaport’s criticism centered on Hubbard’s Bravo storyline

In the video, Rapaport argued that Hubbard’s recent screen time had revolved around Radke, his mother, and their fallout. He also said she had been involved in other cast members’ business, including Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula, and asked what else she had done lately on the show.

He later repeated that he meant the remarks “respectfully” and referred to Hubbard as a “queen” while still asking whether she was “the most overrated person on Bravo.” Rapaport also noted in the caption that the video came from his new Instagram account where he shares what he calls the “hottest bestest takes on all things REALITY TV.”

Hubbard pushes back on the comments

Hubbard did not stay silent. In a response video, she told Rapaport to turn on his comments if he wanted to speak about her, and she accused him of being too comfortable attacking a younger woman.

“Dear, Michael Rapaport, if you want to say something, turn your f—ing comments on,” Hubbard said. “If you want to start a media war, happy to go to war with you.”

She also challenged his framing of her storyline and pointed out that she had become a mother, asking whether he had forgotten that she had a baby. Hubbard said her only storyline had not been her ex and told him that a long overdue conversation between her and Radke would still air.

She captioned the clip, “Dear @michaelrapaport I don’t like when old white men pick on younger women. Get a life brother.”

Rapaport and his wife react on another video

Rapaport later shared Hubbard’s response and posted a separate video with his wife, Kebe Dunn. Dunn reminded him that she had told him not to post the original clip, while Rapaport defended himself by saying he had used the word “respectfully.”

The couple also joked about Hubbard’s reaction and discussed whether the word “overrated” had been too harsh. Dunn said they were both fans and did not understand why he had used that term.

Rapaport later softened the exchange by wishing Hubbard a happy birthday and offering to send flowers. He also said, “Because 40 is the new 23,” before ending the post with a playful message about hugging it out.

The exchange has added another layer to the public attention around Hubbard’s Bravo storyline and Rapaport’s outspoken reality TV commentary. Fox News Digital said it reached out to both Rapaport and Hubbard for comment, while the online debate continued to focus on whether the criticism crossed a line or was simply another blunt celebrity opinion.
