Mike Conley’s wife is Mary LaReve Conley, a former Ohio State University student, fashion blogger, and social media influencer who has built her own public identity alongside the Minnesota Timberwolves guard. Their relationship began long before Conley became a veteran NBA leader, and Mary has often been described as a steady presence in his life.
The couple met in 2007 at Ohio State University, where both were students. Mary later told Sportish that basketball was not part of her world at the time, saying, “I never even saw one Ohio State basketball game ever.”
How Mike and Mary’s relationship started
Mike entered the NBA Draft in the same year he met Mary, after being selected fourth overall by the Memphis Grizzlies. Their connection continued through college, and they officially got together after Mary graduated in 2010.
They later married in July 2014, with former NBA player Greg Oden serving as one of Mike’s groomsmen. Mary has spoken publicly about the values she sees in her husband, describing him as someone who stays true to himself and puts others first.

Mary was born on July 29, 1987, in Kettering, Ohio, to Louis Peluso and Elizabeth Peluso. Her father served as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force, and Mary was active in sports during her school years as a field hockey player.
At Ohio State, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She later expanded her public work beyond family life and used her platform to focus on fashion and lifestyle content.
Mary also served on the Board of Directors for Methodist Healthcare Foundation, where she focused on supporting the Sickle Cell Center. The center is now known as The Mike and Mary Conley Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center, reflecting the couple’s shared involvement in the cause.
