Reports suggest the company is reshaping memory architecture in the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e to keep devices running smoothly under AI workloads. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the two models are expected to ship with 9 GB of RAM rather than 8 GB. The increase is said to come from a 1.5 GB x 6 memory chip configuration, replacing the more traditional 2 GB x 4 setup. AI performance, not just capacity The key detail is not only the larger memory pool, but the way Apple is arranging it.
