MoraRepublic Aims to Reshape Indonesia’s Fiber Internet Market With a Larger, Unified Network

A major shift is underway in Indonesia’s fiber internet landscape as Moratelindo and MyRepublic now operate under a single new entity, MoraRepublic. The move brings together backbone infrastructure and retail internet experience in one platform, creating a stronger position for expansion across the country.

For MoraRepublic, the merger is not framed as a simple corporate restructuring. Management sees it as a step toward a more connected digital ecosystem that can support access from upstream infrastructure to end-user services.

A Larger Base to Build On

The new company enters this next phase with a substantial operating footprint. As of April 2026, MoraRepublic had served more than 2.6 million active retail customers across various regions.

It also controls more than 12.7 million homepasses, a scale that signals readiness for broader service expansion. That base gives the company room to strengthen its internet reach while supporting more households and business users.

Backbone Strength Meets Retail Reach

CEO MoraRepublic Timotius Max Sulaiman said the formation of the new entity is part of a broader strategy to reinforce the country’s digital foundation. The combination of Moratelindo and MyRepublic is designed to serve multiple layers of society through a more integrated approach.

Moratelindo contributes a solid backbone network, while MyRepublic brings well-known retail home internet services. Together, the two businesses are positioned to deliver more reliable connectivity for both work needs and everyday entertainment.

Internet as a Core Utility

MoraRepublic places internet connectivity in the same category as essential modern infrastructure. Stable digital access is now seen as a foundation for education, workplace productivity, and the faster growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises.

With a more unified structure, the company aims to make the online experience smoother for users. The focus extends beyond simple access, with the business also looking to open new opportunities for communities, creative industry players, and public-sector needs.

Fiber Focus Remains Central

During its introduction at the MetroTV studio, the management team used the moment to outline its post-merger direction to the public. The company also expressed appreciation to the media and stakeholders who followed the transition process.

Going forward, MoraRepublic says it will remain focused on fiber-optic internet development. Its priorities include widening service coverage, improving customer quality, and introducing new innovations to support Indonesia’s digital lifestyle.
