Xiaomi has brought the 17T Pro to Indonesia with a clear premium pitch: a telephoto-focused camera system, a large battery, and flagship-level performance. The device is positioned for users who want one phone that can handle distant shots, heavy daily use, and demanding digital tasks without compromise.
The model also carries the “The Telephoto Master” label in the Indonesian market, underscoring how strongly Xiaomi is pushing its zoom capabilities. That positioning is paired with MediaTek’s latest chipset, which gives the phone a broader role beyond photography by supporting work, entertainment, and other intensive activities.
Leica periscope camera takes the spotlight
At the center of the 17T Pro package is a 50 MP main camera with a Light Fusion 950 sensor and a large aperture. Xiaomi designed this setup to capture light and shadow with more realistic detail, making it relevant not only for everyday shots but also for more controlled photography situations.
The biggest attention goes to the 50 MP periscope telephoto lens. It supports tele-macro shooting from as close as 30 cm and includes AI Ultra Zoom with magnification of up to 120 times, giving users more room to frame distant subjects.
Jackson, Product Marketing Manager at Xiaomi, said the device uses a Leica Summilux telephoto system with a periscope structure, a 50-megapixel sensor, and Optical Image Stabilization. That combination is intended to keep results steady across different shooting conditions.
A 12 MP ultrawide camera and a 32 MP front camera complete the imaging setup. Together, the cameras cover everyday photos, selfies, and multiple shooting angles without limiting the phone to only one type of use.
Large display and premium build
Xiaomi gives the 17T Pro a Titan Design that aims to balance a premium look with a solid feel. The body uses a quad-curved back panel and an aluminum alloy frame, which helps the device stay comfortable in hand even with a large screen.
The display measures 6.83 inches and uses ultra-thin symmetrical bezels. Xiaomi says this design is meant to create a more immersive experience for watching videos, gaming, and browsing content.
For eye comfort, the phone includes Xiaomi Vision Care. The system has TÜV Rheinland certification and combines optical calibration, hardware-level blue light reduction, and Ultra-precise DC Dimming.
Flagship hardware and AI support
Inside, the Xiaomi 17T Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500. Xiaomi says the chip improves CPU performance and power efficiency while also delivering stronger GPU support for heavy graphics workloads.
The phone also includes a newer NPU for AI processing. Xiaomi claims its AI capability can reach up to twice the peak performance of the previous generation, making the device part of the brand’s most powerful T-series lineup to date.
That hardware choice keeps the focus on more than just camera performance. The company is also targeting users who need stable output for productivity, entertainment, and everyday use.
Battery and charging built for long use
Power comes from a 7,000 mAh battery built with a new-generation high-energy-density silicon structure. Xiaomi claims the battery can last more than 24 hours based on internal standard testing.
Recharging is handled by 100W super fast charging and 50W wireless hypercharge. The combination is aimed at users who move quickly between activities and need short charging stops.
The Xiaomi 17T Pro is offered in Black, Deep Violet, and Deep Blue. In Indonesia, the 12/256GB version is priced at Rp 11.999.000, while the 12/512GB model costs Rp 12.999.000.
