Asus used Computex 2026 to show how far a gaming laptop can be pushed without giving up everyday usability. The ROG Zephyrus Duo GX651 stands out not only because it carries top-tier hardware, but because it turns the second display into a real working surface rather than a novelty.
The dual-screen design is aimed at more than one type of user. Gamers can keep a title running on one panel while monitoring Discord, OBS Studio, a browser, game stats, or work apps on the other, without needing an external monitor.
Two OLED panels built for both play and creation
The ROG Zephyrus Duo GX651 uses two 16-inch ROG Nebula HDR OLED panels. Each screen offers a 3K resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels, a 16:10 aspect ratio, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 0.2 ms response time.
Both displays also support touch and stylus input. Asus has validated the panels with Pantone and equipped them with 100 percent DCI-P3 coverage, which makes the laptop suitable for gaming, visual editing, and color-sensitive work.
Performance tuned for heavy workloads
Inside, Asus places the Intel Core Ultra 9 386H as the main processor. The chip carries 16 cores, 16 threads, 18MB of cache, boost speeds of up to 4.9GHz, and an NPU rated at up to 50 TOPS for AI-related tasks.
Graphics options include the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU with 12GB GDDR7 memory and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU with 24GB GDDR7 VRAM. That hardware mix is meant for modern AAA gaming, 3D rendering, high-resolution video editing, and live streaming.
To support multitasking, Asus fits the laptop with 64GB of LPDDR5X RAM running at 8533MHz in a dual-channel setup. The system is paired with a 2TB PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD as standard storage.
Storage expansion and a more flexible form factor
Beyond the main SSD, the machine includes two M.2 slots for future expansion. That gives the device room for large game libraries, editing projects, and other heavy creative files.
Asus also takes a different approach to input. The keyboard is magnetic and detachable, and it can also be used wirelessly through Bluetooth. It measures around 5.1mm thick and offers 1.7mm of key travel.
The laptop supports five usage modes: Dual Screen Mode, Laptop Mode, Sharing Mode, Book Mode, and Tent Mode. That range gives it more flexibility for gaming, collaboration, presentations, and viewing at different angles.
Cooling and connectivity for a premium mobile setup
To keep performance stable, Asus uses ROG Intelligent Cooling. The setup includes a new motherboard design, a vapor chamber, fan optimization, and a graphite layer.
Connectivity is also broad. The laptop comes with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, HDMI 2.1, an UHS-II SD card reader, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Wireless support includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0. Power comes from a 90Wh battery, while a 250W adapter remains part of the package.
With dual 3K OLED screens, Core Ultra 9 processing, up to RTX 5090 graphics, 64GB of memory, and a design that can shift between several modes of use, the ROG Zephyrus Duo GX651 is positioned as one of Asus’ most ambitious laptops at Computex 2026.
