The iCAR V23 is entering Indonesia as more than a single EV option. It arrives with a range of personalities, giving buyers a clearer way to match an electric SUV to daily use, driving style, and visual taste.
That positioning matters in a market where electric SUVs are no longer judged only by efficiency. Buyers are now looking at practicality, performance, and design identity at the same time, and iCAR is responding with three distinct characters under one model name.
Three trims, three different priorities
At the most accessible end sits the iCAR V23 OG/Original RWD. This version uses rear-wheel drive and a 59.93 kWh battery, making it the most straightforward choice for everyday mobility.
Above it is the iCAR V23 OG/Original AWD. With all-wheel drive and a larger 81.76 kWh battery, this version is aimed at drivers who want stronger performance and better traction.
| Variant | Drivetrain | Battery | Main focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| OG/Original RWD | RWD | 59.93 kWh | Daily use, efficiency, comfort |
| OG/Original AWD | AWD | 81.76 kWh | More power, better traction, longer trips |
That lineup gives the model a wider reach than a typical single-spec EV. Instead of asking buyers to compromise, iCAR is offering a clearer split between urban convenience and broader driving needs.
Special editions add a more personal layer
Beyond the two main variants, iCAR also brings several special editions. The names Pro Retro Edition, Pro Cyberspace Edition, and Pro Plus Collector Series point to different moods, from a modern-classic feel to a more futuristic and aggressive look.
Those editions strengthen the idea that the V23 is not built for one type of buyer only. The range is designed to let customers choose a version that fits both function and personality.
A boxy design that stays consistent
The V23’s visual identity remains one of its strongest selling points. Its boxy shape gives it an immediate presence in the SUV segment, while sharp body lines and a minimalist approach help it stand out without looking overly complicated.
The futuristic front lighting adds to that impression. Across the lineup, the design language stays consistent, which means the buyer’s choice is driven by equipment and character rather than a completely different exterior formula.
That consistency may be important as well, because electric SUVs are increasingly treated as lifestyle products. For many consumers, appearance now carries as much weight as technical efficiency.
A cabin built around practicality and digital use
Inside, the iCAR V23 follows a modern digital approach. A large infotainment screen dominates the dashboard, while the interior layout is kept minimal to create a more open feel.
The cabin materials are also designed with comfort in mind. Combined with the spacious impression from the simplified layout, the interior is intended to work for both daily commuting and longer journeys.
The SUV also comes with modern safety technology and smart connectivity features. Drivers can access various vehicle functions through the available digital system, adding another layer of convenience to the ownership experience.
iCAR’s broader message in Indonesia
Zeng Shuo, President of iCAR Indonesia, said global sales of the iCAR V23 have surpassed 82,000 units. He described that result as evidence of the company’s commitment to vehicles with distinctive design, relevant technology, and strong personalization potential.
He also framed iCAR as a brand that leans toward expressive, stylish, and lifestyle-oriented mobility. That approach places the V23 in a different position from EVs that focus only on range or utility.
For Indonesia, the model’s arrival signals a more serious push into the new-energy vehicle market. It also adds more pressure to the growing electric SUV segment, where buyers now have more room to choose based on everyday needs, performance expectations, and the design character they prefer.
