Vivo’s next book-style foldable is moving closer to launch, and the latest leak has given it a clear visual identity. A real-life image shows the Vivo X Fold 6 in a striking green finish, with the handset seen in the hands of a Chinese media figure.
The most notable detail is not a dramatic redesign, but continuity. The camera island is said to look similar to the one on the Vivo X Fold 5, suggesting that Vivo is keeping its established design language rather than pursuing a complete visual overhaul.
A leak that feels like promotion
The image was shared on Weibo by Sina Entertainment and shows Chinese actress and singer Zhu Zhu taking photos at the women’s singles final of the French Open.
The composition has led many observers to think the image was not an ordinary candid shot. It appears carefully arranged, which gives the impression of a promotional press image designed to build interest ahead of the official debut.
Only the back of the device is visible, and even that is seen from a distance. That means the leak does not yet reveal the full device in detail, but the green color remains the most immediate and memorable part of the appearance.
Specifications that are already circulating
Beyond the visual leak, several key specifications linked to the Vivo X Fold 6 have also surfaced. The foldable is said to feature a 6.51-inch outer display and an 8.02-inch inner display.
Battery capacity is reportedly set at 7,000 mAh, while the device is also said to use the Dimensity 9500 SoC.
The camera setup is shaping up to be ambitious as well. Vivo X Fold 6 is tipped to carry a triple rear camera system with a 200 MP main camera using a large sensor, a 50 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50 MP periscope telephoto camera.
Taken together, those leaks suggest Vivo still wants its foldable line to sit firmly in flagship territory. The focus appears to be on more than the folding form factor itself, with attention also on battery endurance, screen size, and imaging hardware.
Launch timing points to China first
Multiple signs indicate that the launch is close. The Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to debut in China this month, and some reports suggest the announcement could happen toward the end of the month.
The global release plan remains less certain. At the same time, there is still an expectation that the successor to the Vivo X Fold 5 may eventually arrive in global markets as well.
That makes the new leak more important than a simple color reveal. It marks the beginning of what looks like the early promotional phase before an official announcement, and if the schedule is accurate, Vivo may only be weeks away from putting its latest foldable in direct competition with other major rivals in the category.
