A suspected new Nissan Kicks e-Power has been seen on the Trans Java Toll Road, drawing attention from Indonesian car enthusiasts and fueling speculation that Nissan is preparing a fresh model for the market.
The sighting has not been followed by an official announcement from the brand. Even so, the appearance of a vehicle believed to be undergoing road testing suggests that the introduction process may already be underway.
Road testing often signals a serious preparation stage
Road testing is a key step before a model reaches showrooms. Automakers usually test vehicles in varied traffic conditions and road surfaces to check whether the product is ready for broader use.
The Trans Java Toll Road is a practical route for that purpose. Its long stretches and mixed traffic situations give manufacturers room to assess performance, comfort, and overall vehicle readiness more thoroughly.
The timing is also notable because Nissan has already revealed a facelift version of the Kicks e-Power globally. That update brings changes not only to the exterior, but also to technology and safety features.
