Asus’s 748 GB RAM Workstation Costs $99,999, But Its Ports Are Surprisingly Basic

Asus has pushed into the extreme workstation market with the ExpertCenter Pro ET900N G3, a tower PC built for tasks that demand unusual levels of memory, power, and expansion. The machine is priced at $99,999 in the United States, placing it far beyond the reach of ordinary desktop buyers.

What makes the system stand out is not only the hardware inside, but also the mismatch between its flagship ambitions and some of its external connectivity choices. The tower comes with up to 748 GB of RAM and Nvidia GB300 graphics, yet Asus has kept the port selection relatively conservative.

Built for sustained heavy workloads

According to Asus, the cooling system is designed to handle full chip power even under continuous load. That is meant to keep performance steady during demanding professional workloads, without forcing the processor or GPU to throttle back.

The machine also includes a built-in 1,600-watt power supply, which underlines its role as a no-compromise workstation. Asus has clearly designed the system for high-end configurations that need both strong performance and stable power delivery over long sessions.

Expansion is another major part of the design. The ExpertCenter Pro ET900N G3 offers three PCIe 5.0 slots, including support for an additional Nvidia graphics card, giving professional users room to scale the system further.

Ports that feel less ambitious than the hardware

Despite its premium internal components, the port layout is far from cutting-edge. The system does not include USB 4 or Thunderbolt, instead relying on eight USB 3.2 10 Gbps ports, one USB 2.0 port, and two 10 Gbps Ethernet ports.

That configuration remains practical for many business and production environments. Even so, the absence of USB 4 and Thunderbolt may disappoint users who regularly depend on faster external storage, specialized accessories, or professional peripherals that benefit from those interfaces.

Now listed in the U.S. retail market

The ExpertCenter Pro ET900N G3 has already appeared at multiple U.S. retailers. Central Computers lists the lowest price at $99,999, while Asus also provides more detailed specifications on its own site.

The combination of 748 GB RAM, Nvidia GB300 graphics, a 1,600-watt power supply, and workstation-class expansion leaves little doubt about the intended audience. This is a ready-made machine for users who need a closed, prebuilt platform for serious computing rather than a mainstream desktop.
