The timing matters because it would give Valve a clear launch window for a living-room PC concept that has been discussed in gaming circles for some time. Until Valve says otherwise, however, the schedule remains unconfirmed.

According to Steam Hardware Updates, its source says a video related to Steam Machine may go live after June 23. That would place the announcement and early coverage on the same day, which matches a rollout pattern Valve has used before.
The same approach was previously used when Valve introduced the Steam Controller, making the current rumor feel plausible even though the outlet stressed that the information is still “not 100% yet.”
Community reaction is split between optimism and caution
