Daikin has introduced a longer warranty period for two of its air conditioner lines, Nusantara Prestige and SkyAir. The policy takes effect on April 1, 2026, and gives prospective buyers a clearer reason to look more closely at long-term protection, not just cooling performance.
The change is also notable because it does not stop with new purchases. Daikin said users of Nusantara Prestige and SkyAir with purchase dates from January 1, 2026 onward will also receive the new warranty coverage.
Coverage now reaches two different segments
Nusantara Prestige is Daikin’s newest residential AC line. SkyAir, meanwhile, is aimed at light commercial buildings and premium homes, which means the updated warranty policy affects two very different types of users.
Alexander Eko Wibowo, Assistant General Manager National Sales at PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia, said the extension is meant to complement the comfort offered by Daikin’s product quality. He stated, “This warranty extension complements the comfort of Daikin AC quality with longer protection.”
Why the warranty matters now
Daikin says the move reflects the growing use of air conditioners in Indonesia, supported by modern lifestyle demands. AC is no longer viewed only as a device for lowering room temperature.
According to Alexander, air conditioners now also support productivity through features that provide temperature stability and filtration for cleaner air. That shift makes the purchase decision more closely tied to long-term needs rather than a simple home or building add-on.
Operating costs are part of the equation
Daikin also points to the ongoing costs that come with AC ownership, including electricity use and maintenance. Those expenses make an air conditioner a broader investment for consumers who want lasting comfort.
The longer warranty is positioned as a way to give users greater peace of mind. Daikin says it wants to improve the ownership experience so customers can feel more secure over a longer period.
