Realme has added a new member to its P4 series with the launch of the Realme P4R 5G in India. The mid-range phone stands out most clearly for its 8,000 mAh battery, one of the largest in the lineup.
That battery is only surpassed within the series by the Realme P4 Power, which carries a 10,001 mAh cell. Realme says the P4 series is built around three priorities: longer battery life, smoother gaming performance, and AI features for everyday use.
Battery and charging
With the 8,000 mAh battery, Realme claims the P4R can last up to 12 hours of gaming, 61 hours of phone calls, or 169 hours of music playback on a single charge. The phone also supports 45W fast charging through USB-C.
Display, performance, and camera
For display, the Realme P4R uses a 6.8-inch LCD panel with HD Plus resolution of 1,570 x 720 pixels. Despite the modest resolution, the screen supports a 144Hz refresh rate, peaks at 1,200 nits of brightness, and is protected by Panda Glass.
Inside, the phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 6nm chipset, paired with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Realme also keeps a microSD slot available for users who need more capacity.
The camera setup is centered on a 50 MP main camera with autofocus, while the front side carries an 8 MP selfie camera for calls and self-portraits. The camera app includes Night Mode, Street Mode, Cinematic Video, Time-lapse, Dual-view Video, Tilt-shift, and Google Lens support.
Software and durability
Realme P4R runs Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0. It also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, OTG, and dual SIM 5G support.
For protection, the device has an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance. Realme also says it has passed MIL-STD-810H military durability testing and survived drop tests from heights of up to 1.8 meters.
At the back, the phone features an RGB notification light that can illuminate for different alerts. In India, it comes in Silver Glare, Lavender Glare, and Titanium Glare.

There is still no official information on whether the smartphone will be launched in Indonesia. Realme has previously marketed the P3 series in the country.
